Chapter 10

(Chat's POV)

"M-my lady?" I let go of Brandon and looked up. She was standing there looking at me in shock.

"Chat what are you doing?! Don't hurt Brandon. He doesn't know what he's" I pulled her into a hug. She tensed for a moment and then gave into my hug.

"I t-thought I-I lost you." Tears streamed down my face. It was such a close call. I thought I had lost her. I hugged her tightly, afraid that she might disappear.

"Ch-chat I'm okay. I'm right here." She said hugging me back. "You know it'll take more than this akuma to get rid of me." I nuzzled my face in her hair.

"I know. I was afraid that you had disappeared because he broke the ring. I don't know what I'd do without you. I don't know what Paris would do without their Ladybug." I pulled away.

"Hey, Ladybug and Chat Noir? What happened to me?" Brandon asked. He looked very confused.

"Brandon!" Taylor ran towards him, her arms stretched out to hug him.

"Taylor!" He hugged her.

"I may be moving away, but I'm not giving up on us. We can work this out. Our love can go through anything." She smiled at him gently.

"I agree Taylor, but first I have to do something." He said gently pushing her away. He bent down on one knee. "Taylor, will you marry me?" Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Yes! A million times yes!" He slipped the ring on her finger and she kissed him.

"Wow. That was beautiful." I heard Ladybug say behind me. She was wiping her eyes.

"My lady, do not tear up, for if you do I will make tear-able puns."

"Indeed. That had to be one of your worst puns yet." She rolled her eyes as she smiled. Her miraculous beeped. "Well until next time Chat." She waved at me and ran towards wherever home was.

(Marinette's POV)

I got into my room at midnight. My transformation came off and Tikki came out.

"Marinette you really scared Chat today." She said concerned.

"Yeah, I know. I was scared today too Tikki. I didn't know how to get out of that ring. I didn't even think that I would be able to get out." Tikki landed on my hand.

"It's alright Marinette. Many of the akumas back then also put the previous Ladybugs and Chat Noirs in the same position, but they always found a way to fix things. It's just a matter of experience." She smiled and nuzzled against my cheek.

"Good night Marinette"

"Good night Tikki."

(Next Day at School)

"Where is Marinette?" Alya wondered. School had already started half an hour ago. Her question was answered when Marinette walked in, and she wasn't alone.

Adrien had also walked in with her. Both of them looked really tired. It surprised her that Marinette wasn't freaking out due to Adrien being right behind her. She must be really tired.

"Marinette and Adrien. Mind telling the class why you arrived late?" Miss Bustier asked clearly not appreciative of them arriving late.

"Well-" They both answered simultaneously. Marinette looked at Adrien and turned red.

"Just sit down, and please don't let this happen again."

"Yes Miss Bustier." Marinette sat down.

"Wow girl, walking in with Adrien. Want to tell me how that happened?" I whispered.

"I-I don't know. I just walked in and so did he?" She clearly did not know.

"Hmmm okay." I enjoyed teasing Mari about Adrien because her reactions were funny.

(Adrien's POV)

"Bro, why so late?" Nino asked me.

"Modeling stuff, you know the usual." I answered. I looked at the paper Miss Bustier gave us. What were we even learning?

"You walked in with Marinette though. Did you guys walk together?" He asked.

"No I just got here at the same time she did. Why that question?" I looked at him curiously.

"No, nothing. It was just weird." He looked back at his work.
