(Marinette's POV)
How did I not notice that me and Adrien came in at the same time? That's like impossible. Tikki is right; I do need more sleep.
"Marinette do you mind paying attention? You already came in late. It is the least you can do." Miss Bustier said.
"Yes, sorry." I looked down at my work. This is what I get for being Ladybug, but do I regret it? Nah.
(After School)
Alya and I were walking to the ice cream shop when suddenly I heard my name being called.
"Marinette! Wait up!" Nathanael ran up towards us panting.
"Oh, hey Nathanael. What's up?" I asked. He looked flustered, but I didn't know why.
"U-um. I was just going to ask if y-you maybe wanted to go get some i-ice cream with me?" Poor Nathanael was always so shy.
"Um sure. Alya and I were just on our way-" I looked behind me. Alya nowhere in sight. Where did she- I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.
Alya: I saw Nathanael asking you out so I left ;) have fun xx
Nathanael was asking me out? No. He doesn't like me like that does he?
"Um Marinette it's okay if you don't want to g-go." He said looking at me with a sincere smile.
"Oh no. That's okay I'll go. I was just wondering where Alya went, that's all." I smiled back at him. Nathanael and I walked towards the shop, making small talk about my designs and his artwork.
"Ew. What are you two losers doing here?" Kill me now. Chloe was here.
"Well this is an ice-cream shop, so I suppose we are getting ice cream." I said turning towards her. She was with Adrien.
"Oh hi Marinette. I didn't expect to see you here." Adrien said giving me a smile.
"O-oh yeah, I came with Nathanael for ice-cream." I looked towards Nathan. He had this sad look on his face. "It was nice seeing you. I sadly can't say the same about you Chloe." I walked back towards Nathanael when-
"Wow Marinette. You come here with a guy who likes you, and you leave him to talk to your crush. You were always good with wasting other people's time." Chloe said. I knew she was smirking.
"Chloe leave her alone. We were just here for ice cream and there's nothing wrong with Marinette talking to her friends. Besides that's all, me and her are." Nathan said.
"Listen Nathan. I feel bad for you. You chose to have a crush on a girl who will most likely never like you back. She likes Adrien, and it's so ob-"
"That's enough Chloe." Adrien said. I could not believe this. Adrien was standing up to Chloe. She must have gotten him really mad because he usually doesn't speak up, at least not against her sometimes.
"Don't be mean to them. Marinette doesn't have a crush on me. We're just friends. You need to stop being rude to people, or I am not going to want to hang out with you anymore. You used to not be this way, and recently I don't know what's been going on with you. This is not Chloe. It makes me sad that you've turned like this." Adrien walked towards the door of the shop.
"I'm really sorry about that. I hope she didn't hurt your feelings." He gave one last glance at Chloe, shook his head and left.
"Marinette this is all your fault!" She cried. "I lost my only friend because of you. I will never forgive you for this!" She yelled and ran out. "Adrien! Please wait!" I looked at her leave. I felt sorry for her.
"Sorry about that Marinette. I didn't expect something like this to happen." Nathan said. I looked at the closed door, wondering why Chloe was like this to people.
"That's alright Nathan. Do you still want to get ice-cream?" I smiled at him.
"Um Su-"
"MARINETTE DUPAIN CHENG. COME OUT HERE! YOU MADE ADRIEN HATE ME!" I heard someone yell outside. This can't be good.
