Week nine_(Thursday)

Sapphire: wacha doin?

Elliot: nothin much, playing COD.

Sapphire: Oh... fun.

Elliot: haha yeah fun.

Sapphire: SoOoOoOo....

Elliot: what?

Sapphire: nothing, just bored.

Elliot: then come! Let's hang out.

Sapphire: really? Aren't you bored of me? I'm kinda boring tbh.

He didn't text back, maybe because I'm right. After short seconds, my phone rang, and his name popped up.

My eyes widened at that, he's calling me, we never do more than texting and the small silent hellos when we meet at my grandpa's house. This is a first. There's always a first for everything.

With a deep breath, I answered "Hello?"

"You're not boring." He said.

I rolled my eyes, "You seriously called just to say that?"

"Well yeah, and I wanna hear your voice." He said in a low voice.

I stayed silent for awhile, then gave a nervous chuckle, "what?"

He cleared his voice, "Nothing just forget I said that." I can't, I really can't.

"Okay."

"So you comin or what?" He asked, after moments of silence.

"Um I don't know, I'll see if I can."

"Okay, umm well then, see ya?"

I chuckled nervously, "Heh yeah, bye." I hung up, damn that was awkward.

I dialed Maya's number, it rang a few times until she answered.

"Oh my gosh Saph, I was just about to call you!" She said in surprise.

I chuckled, "Really? What do you want?" I asked.

"I was wondering if you're free today?"

"Well, I kinda wanted to ask you something, but forget it. What's up?"

"Rose called to invite us to dinner! With her family!" She was in full surprise.

"Isn't that gonna be awkward? I don't know, I feel like they wanna be alone but they're tagging us along with them just to not be rude." I said, scratching the back of my neck.

"What are you talking about?! Rose called by herself and invited us! So stop worrying and tell me if you're coming or not."

I sighed, "I don't think my parents will agree."

"C'mon Saph, please." She whined.

"I'll ask, but I won't argue with them."

"That fine with me, at least you'll try right?" She asked hopefully.

I chuckled, "Yeah I'll try convincing them, but uh I just got one question." I said nervously.

Without letting me ask her, she said, "He'll be there if that's what you're wondering." Her voice was full of teasing but reassuring at the same time.
