I glanced down at my knife that was resting in my hand, its handle was deep red, it had bands of gold swirling up the sides till it reached the curved silver blade, which is one of the very few things that can kill something like me.
I slowly placed the knife to my chest, my dark gray designer suit teared as it came into contact with the blade, not that I cared though considering it would soon be in contact with my heart. It will be better when I'm dead I told myself as i forced the blade into my skin. A gasp of air escaped my lungs I have to keep going I told myself, I have to suffer like this, I have to die like this the way Mason did. Droplets of blood began seeping out of my wound, I glanced down at the rest of my body I was uncontrollably shaking, heat was escaping from my body, the air around me was icy white from my breath.
" Blair drop the knife." commanded a sharp voice
" Ha-How do you know my name?" I asked as I was still looking down at the blood that was frantically rushing out of my body.
" I'm surprised you don't already know, vampire."
What? How could she know what i was? My head snapped up to look at her; she had dark black curly hair that softly rest on her worn leather jacket, her black skirt playfully danced around her knees in the nights wind, and there resting in her right hand was a sleek object, its blade no longer then mine but its design was much different, I then knew who this stranger was, she was a hunter.
"Just let me be or am i not doing your job well enough for you?" I sarcasticly replied.
" Pull the knife out now." she coldly commanded, her blue eyes burning with fire.
I did as she told, I slowly removed the knife from my chest and let it drop into the blood stained snow that surrouned me. A crooked grin emerged across her perfect face as she began to walk toward me,reminding me that hunters took great pride in their kills. As I sat against the large oak tree watching my death approach me my mind wandered else where, away from the torturous pain in my chest, away from the heart-rending pain my brothers death had left me with, my thoughts lead me to ask myself why I was still sitting here, I would rather die from my own hand then that of a hunter.
I pushed myself upward, pain surrged through my body, right away her stone cold eyes focused on me, a sleek silver blade flew from her hands and landed right below my lungs, air escaped from my body leaving me gasping for breath. She flipped my body around, her soul peirsing eyes seemed to look right through me, it seemed just for a second she was actually considering not killing me, but just then she pulled a small syringe from her pocket and jabbed it into my arm.
" Night night Blair." she whispered as i drifted into unconsciousness.
