Taken

Do you know how it feels?
When something's simply taken?
Taken away from you?
And it's never coming back, ever.
And that will remain the same,
Forever.

It's like a piece of you is missing,
Like a piece of a jigsaw puzzle gone missing.
Leaving the puzzle incomplete.
And you and your heart are just like that.
Easily dismissing.

It's every beautiful petal of a flower which makes it complete.
But gradually,
Each one is pulled off,
And our life is just like a flower.
The beautiful things and memories would just be snatched away from us.
And what's now left behind is darkness and dust.
And broken trust.

You never know how much something means to you,
Unless it's taken away.
And you'll keep reminiscing its presence,
That's now replaced with it's absence.
Leaving you with no condolence.
But simple silence.

It was that thing,
That's now gone.
Forever,
And ever.
