Stay

You were the song I'd sing to,
You were the melody to my ears.
My head's spinning,
My cheeks are wet with tears,
As I realize that I'm crying,
I try to make you stay.
But you're already leaving,
And now there's nothing I can do.

You were the melancholy reminding me,
Of the memories I can't let go.
Your image may fade away,
But I'd still try to imagine your face,
Trying to get to you but failing to chase.
I wanted to make you stay,
Because you're not one to be replaced.

For the last time I whisper the words,
"Please don't go for god's sake."
Now my voice cracks and my heart breaks.
I witness your silhouette fading away.
As my last glimmer of hope fades,
Of trying to make you stay.
