*Chapter 26* - Talk it through

*Clarina's P.O.V*

I ended up, once again, at the entrance to my little oasis, it was weird that it always was here my feet led me, but maybe Mathieu would be here today too, it was weird but I was really become fond of that big pet wolf, Quickly I went through the bushes and looked around in the oasis, and stopped surprised, there at the lakeshore was Matthew. I said quietly, and Matthew relaxed visibly.

"No there are not many people who know about this place, I've come here since I was a kid, and have never met anyone else, so I've always considered this place a little as my personal oasis."

He smiled and I smiled back before I gently asked.

"I hope you don't mind that I'm here? I found it a couple days after I got here, and I feel in such peace when I'm here."

Matthew quickly shook his head and came closer to me.

"No, I have nothing against it, I am glad that it is you who are here, I can't imagine one I rather would share my little heaven with."

He said and gently touched my cheek. I could feel how I blushed. He looked down over me and smiled at me.

"I like what you have on, why did you wear all that neutral colored clothes, when you look so good in bright colors, it really highlights your beauty."

He said, and winked cheerfully to me, I could tell how I blushed again at his compliment and looked down and said quietly.

"To be honest I have never believed that I could wear such bright colors, the dress I had on yesterday was one my mom had bought for me, but since I didn't felt so out of place in it, as I had expected, I took mom out shopping today so I could expand my wardrobe with a pop of color ... And I know I'm not beautiful. "

I said, and saw how Matthew frowned as he looked at me.

"Clarina, aren't you aware of which natural beauty you are? How did you get the perception that you are not beautiful? "

I admitted, and saw how Matthew get a big smile on his face, before he gently pulled me closer to him, and looked at me.

"So you don't regret what we did? ... I was sure that you would never forgive me, that I took advantage of you in that situation. "

He said, I just looked at him confused.

"What do you mean that you took advantage of me? I was not exactly absent when we... you know."

I feel embarrassed when I remembered what I had done, and could feel how I once again blushed. Matthew laughed gently and stroked my cheek lovingly.

"You are simply adorable when you blush ... But I think I took advantage of you, you have got doped with some drug that would make you more interested in being intimate with someone else."

He said, I looked up at him.

"I will never regret what happened that day, but I thought you were ... I mean you got up and left the room. And every time I saw you after worth you seemed so strange, and at the dinner, you left so suddenly and went without any explanation."

Matthew pulled back a little so he could look down at me before he shook his head.

"No, I didn't regret, but thought that you felt exploited, so I would give you some space. And yesterday, yes it requires a longer explanation, which I promise to tell you, but only when you know me a little better ... He asked gently and looked anxiously at me. I grinned and nodded.

I said, and receive a big smile from Matthew.

Yeah!!! They finally talked it through and realized how things really were. So now we just have to see when Matthew gets his act together and tell Clarina his the big secret, he can't keep it hidden forever - or can he?
