-A/N-

Last part guys! I was going to post this later and keep you in suspence, but I couldn't be bothered so here it is!

Jim's mouth opened and closed in surprise as he watched his wife and son playing happily together on the floor of the living room. Liam looked up to see tears rolling down his fathers cheeks. "Dad! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, more than fine in fact."

Emily turned to look at him, "Jim! You're home dear. Bek just rang, she apologised about making me worry so much, she slept right through her alarm. She's just having a shower and getting dressed before grabbing something to eat. She said she would walk over afterwards, but I insisted that we would come and pick her up."

Jim breathed a sigh of relief, "I guess I should go pick her up then."

"I'll come with you."

"No, that's okay Em, you stay here."

"I think I should come."

"Someone has to stay here with Liam."

"I'll come too!" Offered Liam.

"No Liam," replied Jim, "You have to stay here and help your mum get the house ready."

"Ready for what?"

"Ready for when Bek arrives."

"What do you mean Jim?" Questioned Emily.

"Well you will need to make up the spare room if she is going to stay here."

"But I thought you didn't want her to stay..." they both looked confused.

"I was thinking about it on my walk this morning and I decided that she can stay."

Emily's face was once again lit up with a smile as she wrapped Jim in a hug. "Thank you Jim." was all she said before hurrying off to prepare for Bek's arrival.

As she was distracted, Jim snuck upstairs and grabbed some clothes from Em's wardrobe. Before sticking them in an overnight bag and hurrying outside to get the car.

He drove to the hospital and waited while Bek got changed. Her hair was still wet as they drove to the shops. The numerous cuts and bruises that were still visible on her skin attracted a lot of attention, and Jim received many dirty looks as people assumed that he had caused them, mistaking Bek for his wife. While he tried to act inconspicuous in an attempt to avoid the staring, Bek just continued on, ignoring them and acting like they weren't there. It made him feel a lot more comfortable. Once they had finished shopping and were heading home, Jim brought up the dilemma of the all too visible injuries.

"I'll just have to make up some silly excuse. Have you got any ideas?" She asked.

"Not really... Fell down the stairs?"

"Good idea, but I don't think it quite fits the injuries."

"True. Maybe you tripped on asphalt?"

"That's probably the only half feasible excuse, so we'll go with that."

They slipped once more into a comfortable silence.
