Ria's POV
The next few days were crazy. Everyone wanted answers, but I couldn't give them. I had a feeling that, if I told them what happened for real, then I might actually get killed. And I don't feel like getting killed any time soon. I had spoken to the doctor, and he told me that something happened...to Chloe. "She was stabbed and wounded badly, but she will be alright. You will be able to see Chloe in a short time, okay? Don't fret over it. Your safe, now." And with that, he left.
"Hey, uh, sorry about these last few days. I'm just scared for her, and stressed out." The nurse that I had yelled at was now treating me, and giving me some kind of IV medication. "Oh, it's alright. I know you meant no harm." I was surprised at how calm she was, considering that for the past couple of days all I've given her was hell and blame. She set down a glass of water for me, and I went to grab it when I noticed a note and flowers. "Who's this from? I don't remember anyone coming in..." She looked down at it and shrugged. "Must have been on my break." She left and I picked up the note to read it.
I can't believe you. Did you think I was just going to let you go without a scratch? I mean, considering that you tried to escape me, I had to. I let you and your sister live, therefore you both owe me. You are both going to be let out in a few weeks, and will reunite. But, I need both your help and Chloe's. I will be paying a visit soon, so be ready. Don't call anyone or speak of this to anyone. If you do, we both know what will happen. Keep the window open or unlocked for the next week. I wouldn't want to break anything and cause any suspicion. I stabbed Chloe once and slit her throat for a reason. I broke your leg and hurt your shoulder for a reason, as well. Don't ask any questions, and don't back talk me. If you don't follow through with my plans, consider yourself dead already. I'll see you soon. -Jeff
I called in my nurse and asked her to open the window, hoping to catch a visit, but then again scared he might kill me. Of course he is, you idiot! I tried to convince myself that we'd be alright, but it didn't work out too well. Did he warn her, too? I decided to call down my nurse lady. I pressed the button, and she appeared at the foot of my bed. "Yes, dear? How can I help?" I asked her to open my window, and started talking about how much I missed Chloe, to make it look like I wasn't up to anything. I asked when I could see her, and she told me the doctor said it'd be around Wednesday next week. Well, today was Friday, so that's only about five days from now!
"Thank you. I'm starving, what's for lunch?" She stared at me in awe. Is there something on my face? "You want to eat?" I nodded my head, and she gave me a lunch menu type thing in disbelief. I told her what I wanted and she slowly walked away. A few minutes later, she came back with my delicious food. Damn, I was hungry. While I was eating, the nurse watched me eat. I was confused, so I asked her, "What the hell, lady?! What's your problem? Can I not eat??" She shook out of her little trance, and said sorry.
"It's just...You haven't eaten for almost a week. And we thought you were never going to get back to reality and eat anything. You told us you wouldn't eat until it was with your sister." Oh, yeah. I did say that. I remember them trying to get me to eat, but I refused it, saying I wasn't hungry and that I wanted to eat with my sister only. Haha, okay, I get it now. "Oh...Sorry. I just realized how hungry I was." I saw her expression change from a totally lost one to a soft, motherly one. "Alright, dear. Call me over when your finished." She left me to pig out on my hospital food.
I just finished my meal, and called the nurse back down, when the window creaked a little. I stared at it, and could've sworn I saw something climb out. I looked towards the flowers someone left for me, and picked up a beautiful white rose with red splattered on it. I guess some roses are just too unique. They reminded me of Jeff's hoodie, with the blood stains. I laid back and looked at the ceiling, as my nurse took care of my little lunch. As she was leaving, I asked her to close the door, in case I fell asleep. Though really, I wanted Jeff to come. I wanted answers. I wanted revenge for what he did to my sister. Wait. How long have I been in here for? About a week now, right? Did my parents ever visit me? I don't remember them ever visiting me...
