A long, long time ago in a crumpled, crumpled galaxy...
After leaving the red planet Kubasulu, a group of fairies fly toward a distant speck. The speck gradually resolves into a grand, space school.
Civil war strikes the galaxy, which is ruled by Charity Gump, a deprived imp capable of theft and even violence.
Terrified, a grand witch known as Simon Grey flees the Empire, with his protector, Charity Donaldson.
They head for London on the planet Klendathu. When they finally arrive, a fight breaks out. Donaldson uses her crumpled gun to defend Simon.
Donaldson and Witch Simon decide it's time to leave Klendathu and steal a lorry to shoot their way out.
They encounter a tribe of ogres. Donaldson is attacked and the witch is captured by the ogres and taken back to London.
Donaldson must fight to save Witch Simon but when she accidentally unearths a hot blade, the entire future of the crumpled, red galaxy is at stake.
