The wind hit Alyssa's face, blasting away her hair. It felt so nice, so comforting, though right next to her she saw her father's terrified face as they both fell to their deaths.

"I'm so sorry, brother, I couldn't keep our promise. But I kept our mother's and that's all that matters." Alyssa murmured to herself gazing out into the city. Her stomach caught in her throat as the ground rushed into her face, the building falling down not a minute after two bodies crashed into the hard ground.

Marinette and Adrien got onto solid ground as the 90 story building collapsed on itself. Adrien started running towards it but Marinette grabbed his tail.

"Adrien, we can't stay here!" She yelled over the noise of the rubble. Adrien ignored her,

"she has to keep her promise! She made a promise to me!" He argued shutting his eyes tightly. He felt Marinette let go of his tail, turning around he saw tears sliding down her cheeks.

"I know, I know she made a promise. But I can't let you take the risk of going in there, if you were to die- I-I" Marinette was cut off by a sob. Adrien looked back at the building, a huge plume of dust rising from it. She was right, he could die if he went in there. Marinette was covering her face with her hands when a warm presence wrapped itself around her. She opened her eyes and saw Adrien hugging her tightly, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Then let's go back home and live in her memory. She would've wanted that" He said softly, his voice cracking as he tried not to cry. Marinette buried her face in his chest, her heart ached so much she thought it would burst. When the two got home they found out that they were being held in New York City. Marinette was so happy to see her family again but all Adrien came home to was an empty house.

The two reported Gabriel Agreste to the French police who coordinated with the American police as both countries worked side by side to clean up the wreckage. However they were not able to keep their identities being superheroes a secret. A couple weeks after they got back home and were adjusted back into the regular daily life of a teenager. The city of Paris held a ceremony to give the two the Honor medal of courage and devotion.

During the ceremony Adrien offered to do a small speech. He stepped up to the podium, camera's flashing and reporters holding out their recorders. He cleared his throat and took a deep breath,

"It is true, Ladybug and Chat Noir did fight and defeat Hawkmoth but, the real hero could not be here today. She was brave, kind, and persevered even through certain death. She was the one who really defeated Hawkmoth. I never knew she existed until the day I was kidnapped. She is- was my sister, Alyssa Agreste. However, the only way to defeat Hawkmoth was sacrificing her own life. So really today, she should be getting this medal."

Marinette was almost in tears, she could tell this was hard on Adrien. She looked down at her feet to recompose herself, when she looked back up she saw something moving through the crowd. She couldn't see who or what it was but she noticed the look of sheer terror on Adrien's face. What emerged from the crowd was a drenched, dirty, bloody, and angry Gabriel Agreste.

"What?! How!!" Marinette exclaimed, he fell over 50 feet! Gabriel was hunched over to one side, his chest heaving in deep uneven breaths.

"Think you can get rid of me that easily?" He snarled, digging in his pocket he pulled out a gun and pointed it right at Adrien's head. Everyone froze in silence as Gabriel looked at his frightened son from the end of a gun barrel. "This time, I won't fail." He growled and pulled the trigger.
