Recap:

I hang up the phone and I turn my head towards the employee's doors and a Doctor steps out of the door.

He looks around the room. "Landon Parker?"

I rise. "That's me." I move toward the doctor and I shake his hand.

"Mikayla is..."

Landon

The doctor in front of me says. "I'm sorry, Mr Parker, I couldn't save Mikayla or the baby."

I shake my head. "No, no, no, this can't be true. Y-y-you're lying to me."

He holds his hand in the air. "I'm not. I'll send out a nurse."

Blayze enters the room and he moves towards me. He touches my shoulder. "What did I miss, mate."

Tears fall down my face. "They said she's gone. What am I going to do? The world won't be the same without the love of my life next to me?" I shake my head. "I don't know how to tell my daughter that her mum's not coming home."

I move toward the wall and throw my fist into it. I pull my hand out of the wall and a few pieces of the wall falls to the ground.

I look at my hand and see blood on them.

I throw my fist at Blayze and it connects him in the face. "You were supposed to look out for her. It's your fault she's gone."

I keep beating Blayze up.

I feel a sting to my neck and I close my eyes.

Blayze

I enter the waiting room and I see Landon asleep on the chair. He has tears falling down his face and he's yelling. "No, no, no, she can't be dead."

He goes quiet.

Then he yells. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LOOK OUT FOR HER. IT'S YOUR FAULT SHE'S GONE."

He moves around in the seat.

I move toward him and touch his arm. "Landon you need to wake up, mate."

He opens his eyes and looks at me. "She's gone, Blayze. I have a bad feeling about this."

I wrap my arms around. "Don't think like that. She's going to be alright, Landon. You're going to go home with Mikayla and your baby."

He turns towards me. "Do you mean that?"

I nod.

Just then the doctor exits the employee's door. He looks around the room. "I'm looking for the people that came in with Mikayla Harrison."

I walk over to the doctor with Landon.

We shake the guy's hand.

"I'm her husband."

The doctor looks at me. "What's your relation to the girl?"

I cross my arms. "I'm her brother."

"We got the bullet out of her safely. We placed her in a medically induced coma to help her heal."

"And the baby?" Landon asks.

He nods. "Is good. We have to keep an eye on them both for the next 48 hours after that everything will be good."

Landon looks at the doctor. "I want to stay with her."

"I'll send a bed in soon. You both can visit her for a bit." The doctor shows us to her room.

I enter the room and see Mikayla hooked to all these machines.

Landon walks over to the side of the bed and he takes her hand. "Mikayla, the baby is alive. The doctor's put you in a medically induced coma. I'm going to stay here with you until you wake up." He looks at me. "Blayze is here."

I walk over to the bed and sit on the other seat. I hold her hand. "Aurora, got Abigail out safely. But, there was a little girl in the room and Abigail didn't want to leave without her. The little girl is one year old and from what Abigail has told my wife the mother died."

Landon looks at me. "Are you telling us that we have two girls to look after?"

I nod. "If that's alright with you? If not Aurora and I can take her."

Landon shakes his head. "No, I wouldn't want to separate sisters. What's the little girls name?"

"It's Rebekah Parker."

He smiles. "You gave both girls my last name?"

"Yes, those girls are going to have the best parents anyone could ask for. Mikayla and you will need to sit down and talk to kids about you having another kid."

Landon POV

The doctor shows Blayze and I to Mikayla's room. He opens the door and I make my way over to the bed.

I hold her hand.

I'm looking forward to these next couple of days to fly by. I want to see my beautiful girls eyes and hear her voice. How I've missed everything about her for the last two months. I'm going to take her home when she gets released from the hospital. We're going to to start being a family right away.

I walk over to the side of the bed and take her hand. "Mikayla, the baby is alive. The doctor's put you in a medically induced coma. I'm going to stay here with you until you wake up." I look at Blayze. "Blayze is here."

He walks over to the bed and sits on the other seat. He holds her hand. "Aurora, got Abigail out safely. But, there was a little girl in the room and Abigail didn't want to leave without her. The little girl is one year's old and from what Abigail has told my wife the mother died."

I look at him. "Are you telling us that we have two girls to look after?"

He nods. "If that's alright with you? If not Aurora and I can take her."

I shake my head. "No, I wouldn't want to separate sisters. What's the little girls name?"

"It's Rebekah Parker."

That's a cute name. I can't wait to meet the girls.

I smiles."You gave both girls my last name?"

"Yes, those girls are going to have the best parents anyone could ask for. Mikayla and you will need to sit down and talk to kids about you having another kid." Blayze says.

I hope the girls will be alright about having another sibling. Rebekah won't understand what's going on until we bring home the baby. I'll have to pay attention to her.

"We'll talk to them when we get home. Knowing Mikayla she'll want to be honest with her daughter."

A doctor enters the room with a bed and they set it up for me.

Blayze rises. "I have to go. I'll come by tomorrow sometime. You should probably go back to the hotel and get some sleep during the day."

I shake my head. "I'm not going to leave her side. I've been away from her for too long. Thanks, Blayze."

He kisses Mikayla's head. "I'll see you tomorrow, sis." He exits the room.

I climb into the bed that was brought in. I touch Mikayla's hand.

I've missed touching her.

I close my eyes and sleep consumes me.
