A Fated Summer (O2L Fanfic)

Chapter 2;; Leaving The Nest

I gasp. "Kate?! Are you serious?" I can't believe what she just told me. I'm still in shock.

Kate nodded a bit. "Yes I'm serious. But please don't tell any of the others yet. I'll tell them tonight? Can I get a ride to my house and then I can pick up my stuff. Then we can go to your house?"

I nod and unlock my car. I get in the drivers seat and turn on my car. Kate sits in the passenger seat and I drive out of the school parking lot and down the road towards Kate's house. We listen to listen to Pierce The Veil on the way there.

We arrive at her house and she quickly get out. I turn off my car and follow her inside. Her room is a deep red color and she has pictures up of all of the girls. She has plane tickets and other various items on her white board. I see my signature with Connor's last name. I laugh a bit.

"I can't believe I wrote that." I smile and walk over to the white board. I see the birthday card I gave her along with the envelope that is sitting on the edge of her window. I look over at her and she is all packed up.

"Okay. I'm ready!" she smiles.

We walk back out to my car and drive to my house.

"Okay so I made a list of things we need to bring." I say and pass out the lists to the girls. "I'm trying not to be super organized but I don't want to forget anything." I weakly laughed.

"Its fine Emmy. We understand." Megan smiled.

We all kind of sit there in an awkward silence when I turn to Kate.

Kate looked at all of us and sighed a bit. "Guys I need to tell you something. But you all have to promise you won't get mad."

The other girls look at each other and laugh a bit. "We could never be mad at you Kate." Sydnee smiled.

Kate nods a bit and smiles. "Okay. So we all know that Sam Pottorff is my favourite O2L boy. But what you guys don't know is that...he is also my boyfriend. Of almost five months."

I look over at the girls. Every single one of them has their jaw dropped.

"Kate that's amazing!" Samantha says.

"So wait. If you're dating Sam..that means.." Shyah begins.

"We get to meet the O2L boys when we get to LA." Kate smiles.

Next thing I know we are all screaming happily and dancing around. This summer is going to be amazing.

"Welcome the graduating class of 2013." the principal says over the speakers of the local arena.

I see Kate a few people in front of me, while the rest of the girls are behind me. I fix my mortar board, the girls and I got approval to put LA on our hats. I begin to walk into the arena which is filled with people. Its crazy to think all these people are here to watch their children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, or siblings graduate.

We take our seats that have been placed on the floor of the arena. The principal begins to speak about how we have grown since our freshman year and all the usual things you expect at a graduation. Then the valedictorian does his speech. We walk across the stage and receive our diplomas. None of us fell, which was good.

Then the graduation song. This was the part I was nervous for. I made my way up to where the rest of my choir members were and the music began for Good Riddance by Green Day. One of the members sang the first solo. Then I sang mine. After I had finished I had some how lost my voice. But that didn't matter because I gotten it done with. At the end every one was cheering, I couldn't help but smile. The choir members went back to our seats and then it was time to move our tassels. After we did some people threw their hats into the air. Then all the graduates left the arena.

I had found the girls after and we had several pictures taken. Once the pictures were done we all looked at each other with huge smiles on our faces.

"Tomorrow. Tomorrow we leave for LA." I said and we all screamed happily.

This summer is going to be perfect.
