For TurquoiseDaisy <3 you bby ❤️ Here's the double:)
----------

Mitch walked through the doors of the Arlington, Texas high school. He was a new kid this year, and if he had one wish, it would be to go back to Missouri where all of his friends were. He hated that his dad had gotten a new job.

As he walked in, he saw a group of kids next to one of the lockers- his locker. He sighed, knowing that he would have to interrupt their comversation.

"And then I was like, why the hell are we in the car wash?" Scott laughed as his best friends around him did as well. He was a class clown, for sure.

Scott stopped laughing as he saw him. "Hey! Are you new?" Scott smiled at the boy as his friends stopped laughing.

"Y-yeah..." Mitch said, stumbling over his words. The blonde talking to him was definitely attractive, and by the looks of it, probably really popular. He didn't want to mess up.

Scott smiled. "Well in that case, hi! I'm Scott! And these are my friends..." He pointed to a dark haired girl with a dazzling smile. "That's Kirstin. Call her Kirstie if you'd like." He pointed to a dark skinned man with the whitest teeth ever. "That's Kevin. Call him K.O." Then he pointed to a kid who looked about the same height as him. "And that's Avi." He smiled at his friends. "So, you know who we are, so who are you?"

"I'm Mitch. I'm a new freshman here and I transferred from Missouri. I really love music and singing. It's kinda my escape." Mitch finished as all eyes were on him.

"I love music, too!" They all said at the same time, and started laughing. Mitch just stood there, feeling awkward as he was the only one not laughing.

Avi acknowledged him. "Come on, kid. Lighten up a little, would ya?" Scott stopped laughing to scold Avi. "Avi! Stop! He probably doesn't even wanna be here! He misses everyone!"

Suddenly the first bell rang. "Well, see ya around, Mitch!" Scott said as he scurried off to his first class.

Third Period
Mitch immediately saw Scott as he walked into his third class, history. Ugh. It was his least favorite subject. He took a seat by Scott, still refusing to smile.

"Hey, Mitch!" Scott exclaimed, Mitch still emotionless as he waved back. Scott ignored it for the time being, though.

After class was over, Scott went up to Mitch and made a funny face. "What are you doing?" Mitch asked. "Trying to make you smile!" Scott said cheerfully.

"Well it's not gonna work." Mitch said as he pushed past Scott.

Lunch
Mitch sat down by Scott at the round table. While eating, Mitch felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around, and was instantly greeted with Scott with his orange peel in his mouth.

Mitch raised his eyebrow, and turned back to his food. "Not today, Scotty."

Scott sighed in defeat. "I swear, before the end of this day, I will make you smile!" The lunch bell rang. "Good luck with that, hun. I'm hard to crack."

Dismissal
Scott walked up to Mitch's locker, and closed it. "Come on, I'll walk you to your house." Scott said, offering his arm for Mitch to take, which he gladly took.

They walked out of the school, Scott asking about his day. Once they got to Mitch's doorstep, Scott stopped. "Well, it's certainly been a day. But I have one more surprise." Scott said, smiling, as he took Mitch's hands in his. Mitch looked up.

"I promised that I would make you smile today. So, Mitch Grassi, I think that you are adorable, and I would love to take you on a date this Wednesday." Scott said hopefully. Mitch looked in Scott's eyes, and did something he thought he thought he wouldn't do that day: he smiled.

"Of course I'll go out with you."
