"I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you. They try to pull me away, but they don't know the truth."
-Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis
BEFORE WE START I WANT TO SAY THAT I DO NOT THINK THAT CONNIE AND RICK ARE LIKE THIS. I ACTUALLY THINK THEY ARE VERY NICE BECAUSE I SAW THEM AT A CONCERT BEFORE :)

"You ready?" Scott asked his boyfriend, Mitch, as he grabbed his hand.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Mitch said, leaning into Scott's side, Scott kissing his forehead.

The boys have been dating for about a year and a half. The thing is, they've kept it secret. None of their friends know, not even their closest friends. Their parents definitely didn't know.

Scott smiled down at Mitch as he grabbed the door knob and twisted it. Mitch let go of Scott's hand and put it in his pocket as Scott opened the front door to his house.

"Hey, boys! How was school?" Scott's mother asked, standing up from her recent spot on the couch to greet the two.

"School was great, Mrs. Hoying." Mitch smiles. "Actually, we've been meaning to tell you and Mr. Hoying something..."

"I heard my name!" Scott's father calls from the kitchen, walking into the living room. "What do you need to tell us, Mitch?"

Mitch looks down as he connects Scott and his hands together again. Scott smiles nervously at his parents.

"Mom, dad? I-I'm gay... And I'm dating Mitch."

Mitch could feel the tension in the air. From the look on the Hoying's faces, he could tell that they were feeling different emotions. For example: the look on Scott's mother's face was adoring. She looked like she was about to cry. But Scott's father looked furious. His face turned red and his eyes narrowed.

The parents had different responses.

"Honey that's wonderful!"
"Get out of my house."

Scott's father walked up to the couple and separated their hands. "I can't have a gay son!" Scott felt the tears coming. He surely thought that his father would be most supportive of him.

"Rick! Don't say such a thing! Scott's happy, so you should be happy!" Connie said as she pulled Rick back to sit on the couch. Connie smiled at the boys. "How long?"

Mitch smiled back. "Sixteen? Wait no, eighteen months today."

Connie pulled Mitch into a hug while Rick continued to mumble insults under his breath. "If you had to be gay, you could've actually chosen someone who's attractive." Rick mumbled, but Mitch heard it. As he pulled away from Connie, his eyes watered.

Unfortunately, Scott heard, too. "Don't you DARE say that about him!" Scott screamed. "He's the hottest person on this planet!"

Rick stood up. "Son, what do you SEE? He's a fat, ugly, worthless creature!" Rick screamed in Scott's face as Connie brought Mitch into her arms once again, Mitch now sobbing.

Scott was having none of that. "You wanna know what I see? I see a beautiful boy! I see the love of my life! I see a perfect person! And most importantly," Scott lowered his voice to a whisper. "I see my amazing boyfriend."

With that, the boys quickly said goodbye to Connie and left.

"Baby, I am so sorry. I had no idea they would react like that." Scott said as he opened Mitch's door for him.

     "Just drive, please." Mitch whispered.

"Honey, look at me," Scott started as he grabbed Mitch's hands. "You are amazing. You are beautiful. You are the nicest person I've ever met. Please don't listen to my dad. He's jealous of you, baby. I love you so much. Please, please don't believe anything he said. I-" Scott was cut off as Mitch connected their lips.

They pulled back. "I love you so much, Scott." Mitch smiled.

     "I love you most."
