"You know, I had a hat just like that one."

I looked over to see Luke looking over at me.

"Oh sorry, I should give this back huh?" I said.

"No, keep it." Luke said.

"My name is Luke." Luke said.

"Dani." I said.

"Dani, could I buy you a drink or something?" Luke asked.

"You won tonight, shouldn't I be the one buying you a beer?" I said.

"I'm just trying to be a gentleman." Luke said smiling as he lead me into the room where the party was and bought me a drink.

"So, tell me a little about yourself." Luke said before taking a sip of his drink.

"Well, I am working through my last half of senior year in college. I grew up in Utah with my aunt and uncle." I said.

"So you moved from Utah to Alabama for college!" Luke said.

"Yup." I said.

"What about your parents? You said that you grew up with your aunt and uncle." Luke said.

"Yeah umm, I never really knew my parents." I said.

"Really?" Luke said.

"Yeah, I only remember bits and pieces of that day." I said.

Luke's hand was now on my cheek and he was turning my face towards him so that I was looking him in the eyes.
