I put my hand in Luke's hand and stroked the top of his hand with my thumb.
There were a few doctors in the room with me.
"Luke, you need to hold on for me. I can't imagine a life without you." I whispered as a tear rolled down my cheek.
My hand was still in Luke's. I just sat there in silence as the heart rate monitor slowly beeped. All of a sudden the heart rate monitor speed up and Luke's hand tightened around mine before it loosened and the life went flat and there was a long beep coming from the monitor.
"No, Luke! NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed as I shot up breathing heavily.
My bedroom lights turned on and my mom came running into my room and held me in her arms.
"Shhh, shhhh, it's ok, it's ok. It was just a dream." Mom said as she stroked my hair.
"It felt so real." I sobbed.
"I know baby, I know."
