Ivy's P.O.V.

My heartbeat paced up by his words.

"I want you to kill Byun Baekhyun."

I could feel my hands trembling and my whole body shaking almost instantly. My steps were getting weaker but Kris was guiding me through the dance. I felt my lips getting chappy and no- it wasn't the air conditioner.

"Ivy," he called.

I just nodded, gulping.

"Ivy," He paused and I could feel his stare on my face. "Kill him."

I bit my lips and looked away, avoiding his sharp stare.

What should I do?

Kill Byun Baekhyun?

And for what freaking reason?!

"Wh- Why?" I managed to let out a soft croak.

I glanced at him, and saw him smirking.

"Because..." He then lets out a soft laugh and tightened his finger grip with mine.

"I want to test your loyalty, deary."

I immediately raised my head, meeting his eyes. His eyes were black; not just charcoal black, but also empty. Like his soul has been ripped out of him.

This isn't the Kris I knew back then.

"After all I've done for you, you still found me untrustworthy?"

Not a smile was on his pink lips, just a flat line. A predictable frown.

"But dear, what I ask isn't so hard. Just get the gun out of your gown and let the bullet free."

"There are so many other way for you to test my loyalty, master." I said, shrugging the thought of killing Baekhyun. It's not that I couldn't, I wouldn't.

Kris gave me a faint grin. "Follow my orders, Ivy. You won't regret any decision I make. That's the reason I brought you in here. To kill him in front of my very two eyes."

No. It can't be.

"Kris-" I paused with fear building up. "My mistake, master-"

"No, you can call me Kris for now. No one needs to know I'm your master as long as I'm here." He smiled. I couldn't help but t ask myself, how did he changed so much?

"Now, the song is going to be over. I want you to kill him right then."

I gulped. "But-"

"Take out your gun, Ivy."

"I'm sorry, master. But I didn't bring it today-"

"DON'T LIE. You know how I hate liars." He hissed. I bit my lips, agreeing that I was actually lying to him. Now I regret bringing that gun and all those other stuff.

"Alright then."

I can't do this.

"Shit." I looked at Kris and saw him clenching his teeth while looking towards something. "He's here. Don't do anything yet, Ivy. I will give you my orders."

I glanced towards his direction and saw nothing uncommon. What made him change his mind?

Just then the song ended. There was a loud applause from the crowd and the partners bowed to each other. I did the same, glad to finally get away from him. It was nothing more than a torture to be with him- dancing, in fact.
