Chapter 37: I Miss You

The sun rays shine into the room as he draws up the window blinds. He did some light stretches while looking out of his window towards the Han river.

He took his phone from the table and send a message to Jihyo.

To Jihyo

Morning morning Mong ji~ Oppa miss you!

From Gary

He got a call from Gil after he sent that message.

"Oh, Gil! You've reach?"

"Yea, I am at your doorstep now! Ppali!"

"Arasseo arasseo." Gary hang up the call and rush to open the door. Gil took off his sunglasses and stepped into Gary's apartment. He put down the bibimbap that Gary requested him to buy on the dinning table.

Gary went back to his studio that was built within his apartment and appear with a wide smile on his face while busy using his phone. He thanked Gil for buying the food and tucked into it hungrily.

"You looked as though you haven't eaten for days." Gil commented. He help himself to Gary's kitchen, scooping out two big scoops of chocolate ice cream into a cup. He continue to observe Gary who was smiling like a fool while eating his bibimbap at the same time.

"Is the bibimbap doing some magic tricks to you? You've been smiling so happily ever since I stepped in. Yah! It can't be that you are gay right?" Gil put down the ice cream cup and cover his chest with his arms, earning a glare from Gary.

"Don't be disgusting. And obviously, I'm not a gay. There's just something to be happy about." Gary retorted as he continues to look at his phone. Unable to stand it anymore, Gil snatched Gary's phone from his hands. His eyes widen as he scroll through Gary's phone. "Yah! Give it back to me!" Gary yelled and attempt to snatch it back. Gil cringed as he read the messages between Gary and Jihyo and return the phone to Gary.

"Oh~ I love you too~" Gil put on a feminine tone and teased Gary.
"Aish." Gary took his phone from him and went back to finish his bibimbap.

"When did you guys started?" Gil grabbed the cup containing his half-melted ice cream and asked.

"A few weeks." Gary replied. He cleared the dining table and rinsed his mouth as Gil placed the cup in the sink. "Daebak! Treasure her well!" Gil pat him on the shoulder and walk out of the kitchen. "Yah! Gil! Wash it yourself!" Gary shouted as he looked at the cup in the sink. Gil pretended not to hear anything and whistled on his way to the studio.

"So what's the plan for today?" Gil asked as he browsed through the yellow single-lined paper pad on the table. Gary took the paper pad from Gil and flipped it to the page that he bookmarked. He give it to Gil and pointed at the lyrics on the paper. "I need you to help me to arrange this." he requested.

Gil took a look at the lyrics and read it out.

"Your hair is tied back so I can see your forehead. It bounces every time you walk. At the end of your pants that wrap around your smooth legs are light sneakers.. This is about Jihyo?" Gil looked at Gary with his eyebrows raised.

Gary scratched his head and sat down on the swivel chair. "Is it really that obvious?" he embarrassingly asked.

"Forehead.. sneakers.. Obviously I know it's her." Gil sarcastically said. "What the title of the song?" he continued.

"Your scent. I'll be recording it with Jung In." Gary login to his MacBook and played a draft version of the song. Gil move to the rhythm of the tune and pointed out a few parts that can be tweaked. They reviewed the edited version and both agreed that it was certainly better.

Gary continued to write out the remaining lyrics while Gil was busy surfing the net. "Oh!" Gary exclaimed as he looked at the clock. Time past by so quickly while he was penning the lyrics. It was already close to 4pm.

"Ah Gil, I think we should stop here for today. I've something on later." Gary continued as he packed his stuff on the table.

"Going out with Jihyo?" Gil shut down the MacBook and teased Gary who was smiling widely that the shape of his cheekbones can be seen.

"Gil, hurry up and leave." Gary grabbed Gil's belongings and and push them towards him. "Arasseo! Have fun!" Gil walked out of his house and winked at him while Gary looked on with disgusts. They waved goodbye at each other and Gary shut the door and quickly went to take a shower.

Before leaving the house, he adjusted his attire in front of a mirror. "Jihyo-yah, oppa is coming!" he mumbled to himself, excitingly and leave the house.
