Player Of The Year

Chapter 24:

We are baby shopping right now since I only have a month left of being pregnant. I am also making my baby shower registry. Donna and Amy are on either side of me. We decide to get the crib and some clothes. The rest of the big stuff can wait until after the baby shower. If we don't get something we need at the shower then we will buy it.

We find some really cute outfits. One says, " Ladies man." Another says, " Rocker boy." A third says, " I'm my moms prince."

We go and pay for the stuff we got and go home. There are roses all over the place when we get home. Donna knows what I'm doing so she decides to go to her room since she doesn't want to see.

Amy is shocked by the roses. I get down on one knee and ask her to marry me. I pull out the diomend ring. She nods and kisses me. He family then walks out of hiding and congratulates us. They give us hugs. Amy has a huge smile on her face.

" So I know this is a bad time but I'm craving a pizza burger with bacon on it. Oh and a mint milkshake with fries." I say.

Everyone laughs. Amy and her mom go to get me my craving while the rest of the family stays here with me. We talk about the wedding and the baby. Amy's dad lets me know that he will pay for the wedding. I thank him.

Ten minutes later Amy and my soon to be mother-in-law walks back in with the food. They help me to the table so that I can eat. They start talking about the baby shower which will be in two days. After a while everyone leaves and Donna comes out of her room.

We hear a knock on the door so Amy goes and sees who it is. Shay walks back with her. We watch a movie just having family time.

Two days later it is time for the baby shower. They have everything you can think to eat there. Donna makes me a plate and brings it back to me. One of the things on my plate is a pizza burger with bacon which makes me laugh. I eat my food enjoying it.

Soon it is time for games. We play guess how big I am. Which is a game where you cut the size string that you think will wrap around my belly. Whoever comes the closes gets a prize. Donna's string is way to short while Amy's is way to big. I hit Amy playfully then kiss Donna. The one who ended up coming the closes was Amy's little cousin.

The next game we played is guess what's in the diaper. That game has candybars smashed into different diapers and you have to taste it to guess which candybar it is. I guessed them all right so I got the prize.

The third game was to change a babydoll's diaper blind. Donna won that game.

There were two more games after that. However the one game played the whole time during the shower was the baby game. Which is you get a pin with a ribbon in it and you wear it. If someone hears you say the word baby then you had to give them all the pins you have. The one with the most pins at the end of the baby shower wins.

After the games we opened up gift that people bought for the baby.

We got a diaper genni, a changing table, a play pin, a carseat, a swing, a bouncer, clothes, toys, bottles, and a lot of diapers and wipes. The diapers ranged from new born to a year old. We thank everyone and then the shower is over. Amy's mom and Shay stay to help clean up. We get to keep the rest of the food from the shower.

They soon leave. Donna and Amy start setting up the nursery.
