I wake up and I feel something on me, I open my eyes and saw dust and ash on top of my stomach.

I gasp, I get up and shake the ash off of me. "I should have warned you about the little dust storm that happens at night," I over hear Taurus say.

I sneeze and sneeze two more times. I look to see Taurus sitting on one side of the tree, she has her black jacket back on I realize that her dark brown hair is short to her ears.

Her purple eyes makes her look mysterious.

"How long was I asleep?," I ask. Taurus shrugs. "Maybe just about 20 minutes longer than me."

I look up at the sky to see its clear blue self, the sun is up unlike yesterday where it was hiding behind gray clouds.

We walk in silence and listen to the wind, it turned from warm yesterday to being 30 degrees cold.

We are both cold but I am suffering the most since I'm only wearing shorts. I can hear our teeth chattering.

"S...S... So," Taurus says shakily. "Th.. The temp... temperature went down a lot!," Taurus shouts her voice echoes through the city.

I nod slowly, "Tell m... m... me about... your.... self...," she says.

"Well," I start. We find a hotel building that seems a little warm but not that much. But we stop shivering and shaking.

"I'm a only child, never had a brother or sister. My mom was single, then my dad was in the army. He died when I was 4. My mom always wanted the best for in everything, I guess this situation counts as everything," I say to Taurus, I continue.

"When this whole thing started I was terrified, my mom had came here to New York on business so I was alone at the time," I say.

I stay silent for a minute or more,"I don't know if she's alive or not."

Taurus looks at me, she has this apologizing look in her eyes but the words "I'm sorry" seem to be foreign to her.

I sigh, Taurus gets up and looks out the broken glass window. Her hair blows in the cool wind while the sun lights up her eyes.

"What about you?," I ask. She shakes her head. "Maybe later. No. I have places I need to go," she says. "Who are you looking for?", I ask. Taurus turns and speaks, "My friends."

We walk along the road that used to inhabited cars, trucks, signs, and most importantly people. I walk behind her, but close enough so I wouldn't get lost.

The sun is out, and the temperature went up a some degrees just about 50s or 60s. "So, who are you looking for exactly?", I ask. "My friends Sunny, Rain, and Joey," she replied.

Taurus walks closer to a Hospital, I follow. "Sunny and Rain are my girlfriends, no not in any lesbian way. Sunny is a total blonde always forgetting things and not knowing what to do in her life but flirt with guys. Before this disaster happened I had stopped being friends with Sunny after I argued with her about trying to get Rain a date."

"What's wrong with that?," I ask. "Well, how about the fact that Rain got abused by her father since she was a little girl?," Taurus stops walking and sits down on a platform on the side of the hospital, I sit next to her.

"I didn't mean to make you upset," I say. Taurus sighs and stares of into the distance.

Nothing more than destroyed cars, street signs, and dead bodies. The wind blows strong enough for my hair to whip me in the face and for the foul smell of death to sting my nose.

To be honest I didn't really pay attention to the smell that the dead bodies bring. "What are we looking for here?," I ask. "Medicine for Rain and Joey, forget Sunny. The medicine is also for us as well."

"How are we going to get in the hospital?," I ask, while I look at the entrance. "It's blocked by some concrete debris, how are we going to manage to get in?"

"Simple," Taurus points to a shattered window and gets up. She goes up to it and puts one leg over the other and disappears through the building. I sigh and I get up, I go up to the window and I follow what Taurus did.
