I had packed my things and was standing before my parents. My mom sighed. "Honey, why can't you just focus on your schoolwork?" She asked in a soft tone. "You guys act like that's easy to do. Well it's not." I almost yelled at them.
My dad looked furious. "16 generations of pure blood family going to Hogwarts and you are the one that stopped it. Why am I surprised?" I looked at my father. I can't believe he would say that to my face. I started to tear up. My father was never proud of me. Even if I did something well, I never got so much as a 'good job' or even a thumbs up.
"Greg!" My mother yelled at my dad. "She's upset enough you don't need to make her feel worse." I sniffled and tried not to let any more tears escape.
"How about me going to Beauxbatons?" I suggested, still sniffling. My parents exchanged sorrowful glances, then looked at me. "Actually, darling, your father and I have already reached a conclusion." My mother started. I didn't want to know what they had in store for me. "We've concluded that you go to Durmstrang." My father ended for her.
I sat there in disbelief. Me? Go to a school meant for boys? No way.
My mother looked sorrowful. "WHY?!" I screamed at them. "Well, we thought you could use a little more discipline." My father replied as calm as he possibly could. My mother tried to begin. "We just wanted you to -" I cut her off. " TO WHAT? TO FINALLY MAKE YOU GUYS PROUD? TO FINALLY BE A GOOD DAUGHTER? TO MAKE YOU HAPPY THAT YOUR ONLY CHILD WASN'T A FAIL?!"
My mother turned and buried her face in my father's shoulder. He tried to console her while talking to me at the same time. "Darling, we checked. Durmstrang isn't a school just for boys. Girls can go as well." I tried to calm down. I stopped screaming, but I was still furious with them.
"But girls don't go because why? Oh yeah, because all the girls are smart enough to go to Beauxbatons." I retorted. My mom lifted herself off my dad. Her face was red and puffy. "Please, honey. We want the best for you." She sniffled.
"Yeah? Well then I don't think you know what you're doing." I turned and stormed upstairs and slammed my bedroom door.
I need to get all the sleep I can get, because apparently, wether I like it or not, tomorrow is my first day at Durmstrang.
