I was on the ground, looking at Viktor talking to Dumbledore in confusion. I slowly lifted myself off the ground and turned to face them.
Dumbledore looked at me with pity in his eyes. Viktor, who was oblivious to this kept on talking to Dumbledore.
What just happened? I gazed off into the distance as if it would help me find an answer. How did he run through me?
I felt myself just to make sure I was solid.
Yep. Completely solid.
I snapped out of my gaze and looked once more at Viktor and Dumbledore. I suddenly became aware of how heavy my breathing was. I tried to slow it down, but couldn't.
Out of nowhere, I stumbled up to Viktor and slapped him across the face.
Or at least, I tried to. My hand slipped right through him.
Dumbledore stepped forward and grabbed my hand. Viktor became confused, as he couldn't see me still. Dumbledore waved his wand and tapped my head while uttering a spell. I immediately became drowsy and I hit the soft dirt with a thud.
Everything was kind of a blur after that, Viktor screeched of both happiness and fear, I'm guessing he could now see me. A pair of arms lifted me up off the ground and slowly walked towards the shade of a tree.
I very slowly drifted off into a deep sleep.
- * - * -
I woke up, still under the tree, but nobody was around. I looked around and then stood up. I walked into the field. I sighed with relief, for they were both sitting on the log in the center of the field.
But there was someone else there too. I squinted as if it would help me see better through the bright sunlight that was shining throughout the field.
Then I remember seeing Viktor talking to someone as I first walked up. I bet that someone, was the one sitting there with them now.
I slowly walked up, still unsure if Viktor could see me or not. But when I came into sight, he jumped up from where he was sitting and ran over to me.
Yeah, I guess he could see me.
Dumbledore and the other guy turned around. They both stood up and walked over to me. I backed away from the other man, as I still didn't know him.
Dumbledore put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I looked up to his starry blue eyes, and gave him a questioning gaze.
"I am guessing you must have many questions, Miss Heder?"
"Yep." I stated. "How did Viktor run through me? Is he okay? What spell did you use on me? Why was I brought under a tree? Who is he?" I blurted out all at once.
Dumbledore kept his calm expression, while Viktor looked overwhelmed.
"Alright, first things first." Dumbledore said. "It wasn't that Viktor was able to run through you, it was that you have the power to turn invisible."
Okay, this was already confusing.
"What?" I asked, slightly dazed.
"Well, this is what Voldemort was talking about when he said you were a powerful witch." He explained. I could feel Viktor tense up next to me when he said Voldemort's name.
"And how exactly did I turn invisible without even myself knowing?" I asked him.
"Well..." He trailed off.
"Well, what?" I demanded.
"Well, certain emotions can make you do different things."
"Like what?"
"If you were happy, you might be able to perform magic extra well, or if you were determined, you may be able to use magic without a wand." He says.
This was news to me. You would think if I had this sort of... Power -I guess you would call it- that I would know.
"And how did I not know this?!" I was freaking out by now.
"Well sometimes it can be undetected until the person with the ability is notified by another being." He explains. " But I do not know what you were feeling right at that moment, so I do not know what feeling makes you turn invisible."
I try to think back to that moment. "I guess I felt kind of... Excited. Because I got to see Viktor again." I spoke. I could feel Viktor blushing to me.
"Now we know that excitement can possibly turn you invisible." Viktor speaks.
I am still confused though.
"So we just have to figure out as we go?" I ask Dumbledore.
"Hmm? Figure out what?" He asks.
"My abilities and the emotions that go with them." I reply.
"Oh yes." He says. "Except, we will not be figuring it out."
"And what do you mean by that?" I ask. Why does he always have to be so confusing?
"I mean, you will have to figure it out for yourself." He replies. "You are the hero here. Or should I say, heroine."
But I don't want to be the heroine. I don't want to have this power. I mean, yeah, it's pretty awesome, but I don't want to be the one to save the day. I'm not for saving the day. I'm for pranks, and jokes and things like that.
But before I can object, he pushes me toward the man next to him.
"This is Reginald Sirloin." Dumbledore tells me. "He works with The Ministry of Magic."
The Reginald guy sticks his hand out. I hesitate, but end up shaking it. I'm thinking I like Reggie better. That's what I'll call him. Reggie.
"I am here for two reasons." Reggie tells me. "One of which is to investigate what exactly it is that You-know-who is trying to do, and the other is to interview you on what happened to you."
My first thought is no, but when I think more about it, it would feel great to vent all this out to someone. And not just Viktor either.
I don't know what to say. "Can I think about it?" I ask him.
"Fine, but don't spend too long pondering the thought." He seems slightly annoyed.
"I will try." I thank him.
I turn back towards The Dumbles. (Heh, I came up with that name back during my time at Hogwarts and I just feel like using it.)
"But you still didn't answer one of my questions." I narrow my eyes at him.
"And what question is that?" He asks.
"Why in the WORLD was I brought under a tree of all places?"
"It does seem strange to say it out loud, but shade can help cool down your body when you perform those sort of tricks with your emotions." Dumbledore explains.
Okay so it is sort of weird saying it out loud, but compared to all the things that happened today, this wasn't that strange.
Dumbles gestures toward the logs and asks us all to just sit down and rest a minute. Of course, I say yes.
We spend the rest of the afternoon talking and comparing ideas of what Voldemort could be doing.
Except for that, I think I had a pretty messed up day if you ask me.

Hey guys! I am SO sorry I took so long to have the new update up! Its Summer, and I was volunteering, hanging with friends, and I'm currently coming home from my vacation to New York! It was fabulous there and I remembered that I haven't updated in awhile so that's what I've been spending the last few days doing.
Thanks to all of you who stuck with me so far through this book even when I don't update for awhile.
(I think I'm gonna start signing my name off when I do the A/N thingies.)
But yeah hope you like the new chapter! I need to stop rambling. >.<
