Chapter 3

Damian's P.O.V.

We were getting ready for this stupid gala and I was sitting in the bat cave with father and Greyson. We were waiting on Sarah to get done and of course girls are SOOOOOOOOOO SLOW!!!!! "Sorry it took so long" I heard a sweet voice say, I looked up from my book to see Sarah with her hair curled and wearing the dress with a hint of red lipstick on. Pennyworth was all I thought, that devil. Sarah walked over to me, father, and Greyson with a smile. "Ready to go" she asked, we all nodded and headed toward the door. While we were about to walk out the door Sarah said "wait" and she turned around and hugged Pennyworth "thanks." She then walked out the door and into the limo while I was still standing in the door way. "COME ON" she said "WE DON'T WANT TO ME LATE!" As I got into the limo and it started to pull off father cleared his throat. "Sarah I have a question  to ask you, well more like a favor." "Anything for you Bruce." "Will you sing at the gala?"

Sarah's P.O.V. 

I stared wide eyed at Bruce ME SING IN  PUBLIC WHAT A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!!!!   I started shaking my head up and down really fast as Bruce, Greyson, and Damian smiled. "What song are you going to sing" Damian asked. I hadn't really thought about it, but it has to be a fancy. I started thinking really hard and Damian said with a comforting smile "you'll think of one later, so for now let's have fun." We got out of the limo and walked into the fancy building. I soon saw how many people were in this place and started getting nervous.

Damian's P.O.V.

I looked over at Sarah and saw how nervous she was. Without thinking I grabbed her hand and gave it a soft squeeze to comfort her. She looked down and saw my hand, but the weird part is she didn't smack me or let go she just allowed it.

******************* AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER*************************

Father looked at Sarah and said "it's show time what are you going to sing?" A Thousand Years" she replied quickly. I watched as she started walking with my father onto the stage, she looked nervous.

Sarah's P.O.V.

I have never been so nervous in my entire life! I was about to back out when I heard a voice say "knock them dead." I turned around to see Damian smiling at me and it gave me a confidence boost. I nodded and walked up to the stage with Bruce.  I smiled as camera's flash and I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. I heard someone shout "GO SARAH!" and I saw Damian jumping up and down in the back. I smiled and walked out to the middle of the stage and Bruce said "this is Sarah and she will be singing A Thousand Years for your enjoyment tonight." Everyone clapped and the music started.

I looked out into the crowd as big smiles were on all of their faces, then they erupted  into applause. I looked around at all the people who were so proud of me Bruce, Greyson, and most importantly Damian. I continued looking with pride then I saw something that wanted to make me scream, my parents at the very back of the room in the corner!!!!
