Im just going to start off by telling you a bit about me. My name is Jessica Reynolds. Im 17 years old and i live in New Zealand with my mum and my younger sister, Ryley who is 14. My dad lives in America and thats basically all i know about him. He left my family 3 years after Ryley was born and i haven't heard from him since. Im not bitter or anything and you can't miss someone you barely know. Im not sure how i feel about him really.
I go to Rotorua Lakes high school in a town called, well, Rotorua. My best friends are Maia and Laura, i have known then since primary school. I have a boyfriend. His names Lucas. Hes tall with curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Hes very sporty and athletic and a social butterfly you could say. Im the opposite.
Im very quiet and shy and you have to be very close to me to actually know me. I used to get bullied alot and i suffered from depression for 2 years. Im better now. I still have the occasional break down. But we all do.
I love to sing but i would never EVER sing in front of people. My mum said before i had depression i would always sing. Dad used to call me his little song bird when i was really young. They said i could sing before i could talk. But things just aren't what they used to be. Instead of singing all the time like i used to; i indulge myself in books; the made up worlds are so much better than reality. Im not completely unsociable, i go to the occasional 'meet up' with Lucas or the girls. People are always surprised to see me because every one know im socially awkward and shy. They accept me though, most if the time.
Im going to tell you the story of how my life turned around because of a tradegy.
