**Eleanors POV**
Luke drives me to band rehearsal with his fingers intertwined with mine. As we pull up at Danny's Workshop i notice we are the last ones here. When we go inside, the boys are warming up and Jess is pacing like she does just before she sings.
"Good everyone's here!" Jess exclaims and orders us to sit down.
"There is an Amateur Battle of the Bands coming up. There will be record companies there! And winner get $1000 and the chance to record their song properly."
She stops and hands us the fliers.
"Please , this needs to be a group decision. Do we want to have a shot at a record deal?" She asks us all. An awkward silence follows.
"Hell yeah! sign me up!!" Regan agrees. We all laugh and agree with him.
"Cool i will sign is up then!! You guys start rehearsing." Jess says. She goes onto her laptop and starts signing is up!
We could get a record deal!!!

The night of the battle of the bands arrived and we were so excited. I was getting ready at Jess's place. Her parents couldnt come.
We helped eachother choose outfits. We chose a white crop top and high waisted shorts for me; and a tie dye crop top with black jeans for Jess. I straightened my blue hair which is starting to grow out my natural brown at the roots. Jess untied her braids which gave her shoulder length blonde hair some nice waves. When were finally ready, there was a knock on the apartment door.
"Hey Luke! Good timing," Jess said.
"You girls ready?" he asked.
"Yup!" Jess and i said in unison.
We all get into the car. Jess sitting in the back seat, me in the passenger seat. Luke reached over grabbed my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze before letting go. It only took us ten minutes to get there but the parking spaces were full.
"I'll get out and see if the boys are here. You two find a park." Jess suggests. We agree and Jess jumps out running toward to venue.
Once we finally find a park Luke turns to me. He didnt say any thing, he just leaned over, unbuckled my seat belt and pressed his lips to mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pull me closer so i was sitting on his lap. After a few minutes of restless kissing, i felt Lukes hand trail to the bottom of my crop top. He started pulling it up before i pulled away.
"Not now. Not yet." Is all i said. Luke got the message and opened the car door. I climbed off him and into the parking lot.
Tonight is the night!

It was a big pub like place, that wreaked of alcohol. Not alot of regular people showed mostly just family of the bands and people from record companies! The band on now was a group of middle aged men singing one direction. They werent too bad to be honest!
We were up next and waiting backstage. Well im not sure you can call it back stage; its just a little area next to the stage, thats closed off from the crowd by a black curtain.
Jess was pacing. Terry was tapping his drumsticks on everything. Regan was constantly picking one string on his guitar. Luke tapped his fingers on top of his guitar and I was leaning on the stairs nodding my head to the song of old men singing 1D.

The song came to an end and the audience applauded. As the men came off the stage they told us good luck. As we made out way onto the stage butterflies started gathering in my stomach. We have played in front of audiences before, but none of those had people of record companies.
I started a riff on the keyboard for our song; no place like home. Jess sang beautifully. The boys on guitar were great and Regan was killing it on the drums.
At the end of our song the audience cheered and clapped louder than for the other bands. As we walked off the stage i could hear the announcer say:
"And that was LESTR people!! A bunch of talented teenagers who write their own music!" that got another roar from the crowd.

The acts continued and our band split off to find our families. I stayed with Luke. I noticed Jess talking to that new guy Alex. Why was he here? i watched them talking and i couldn't help but think they would b a great couple!!
After the last act the announcer came back to announce the winner and he bands who the record companies are interested in. Our band huddled together in the back of the crowd listening in anticipation.
"Galaxy Records! If this is your band please meet Mr David Shore at the bar! Now the Band Galaxy Records is interested in is.....LESTR!!!" The whole crowd cheered! It was hard to let that sink in. We are getting offered a record deal!!
We tried to contain our excitement as we went to find David Shore. He was a tall man with Shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes.
"Hello LESTR!" he said to us. We all mutter a hello back.
"Im not gonna keep you long because you probably wanna know who won bla bla bla. So all im gonna do is give you all my card and tell y'all to meet at that address on Wednesday at 4pm. Cool?" he says.
"Cool!" we all reply in unison.

At school the next day, everyone was talking about us. News spread quickly. Amanda came up to me and Jess and actually congratulated us! On the way home i was so happy. Luke parked outside my apartment building. I couldnt help myself, i lean over and passionately kissed him on the lips. Once again he pulled me onto his lap. He started pulling my top up and this time, i let him.
