XXV

**Alex's POV**

(One month later)

The last month Jess has been really busy with the band. Im happy for her but i wish we could spend more time together. Everything went really well with the record deal guy so now they are working on their first album and are performing at gigs regularly.

Today is exactly one month since our last date which was our first date. Its Friday and tonight LESTR is performing a little concert at school. Hopefully afterwards i can take her out on a nice date or something.

I have been in America for a couple of months now and i will be here until the end of senior year. My time here is limited and i have to make the most of it. With that thought in mind i get ready for the little concert.

Within 10 minutes im ready and i drive myself to school.

Everything is pretty quiet when i arrive because im here a little earlier. Jess jumps off the little stage where they were setting up and runs toward me. She's wearing a long floral skirt and white long sleeve turtleneck top. Her hair is in two little braids on the sides of her head. She wraps her arms around my neck and hugs me tightly. I chuckle because she doesn't usually do this.

"Hey this is different." I say.
"Im just so excited!!" she exclaims. she takes my hand and leads me to the stage. I help them set up which doesn't take long and after after 15 minutes more people start arriving. I stand with Macy and Jackson and watch as Jess starts singing in that angelic voice of hers. Most of the school was here and i could see from the look in Jess's eyes that she couldn't be happier!

When it was half time i went round to see the band, bringing them all drinks. Jess pulled me in a kissed me quickly on the lips. her smile permanently plastered on her face.
"Im so happy! I feel like i can do anything right now!" she says happily holding my hands and doing small jumps on the spot. I chuckle at her happiness.
"Your so cute!" i lean in to kiss her again but shes pulled away by Eleanor who drags her back on stage. Jess tells sorry to me and i go back to
join Macey and Jackson.

After the bands performance, Jess runs over and flings her arms around my shoulders. I hug her tightly before she pulls away.
"Lets go somewhere."

We drive to the lake i took her on our first date. Its a warm night and there's a soft breeze rippling the glassy surface of the water. As soon as im out of the car shes already running towards the beach. I chase after her. She stands with her feet deep in the sand and looks at me with a wide grin on her face. Before i know it shes stripped down to her underwear and is running towards the water. I follow her lead and take off my shirt before splashing my way into the water with Jess.

We swam around and splashed eachother for what felt like hours and when we were tired of swimming we went up on the sand and sat on our clothes.

Jess leaned her head on my shoulder and i held her hand.
"When i met you, i had no idea you would be so important to me." Jess says looking up at me with her beautiful green eyes.
"Jess; im hopelessly falling for you!" a wide smile spread across both our faces before our lips connected.

Its Saturday morning and i couldn't be happier waking up next to Jess. (The people i am staying with while i live in New York are barely here, they are a middle aged couple who both regularly work night shifts at the hospital.) Jessicas head is on my chest and shes breathing softly with a slight smile on her face. I wonder what shes dreaming about? i gently move her head onto the pillow and get out of bed to make coffee.

Jess comes out a few minutes later wearing one of my baggy t shirts and a tired smile. I hand her the hot coffee, she takes it without a word and sits down on the couch.
"Thank you for last night." she says taking a sip from the mug.
"No, thank you for the past few months." I shake my head.
"What did i do?"
"You made me feel welcome, you befriended me, you listened to me, you are such a fun person to be around; im leaving in 5 months...." i trail off in thought of what will happen once im gone. Jess shifts closer to me and runs her cold fingers up my arm and around my shoulders.
"Alex, dont think about that now. Right now you have me, dont worry about what will happen in 5 months. Because this moment and these moments we have had, thats what matters." I can't help myself, i kiss her gently on her soft lips and stare her directly in her eyes.

"I think im falling in love with you Jess!"
