**Jessicas POV**

Its been two weeks since i moved and i have settled in just fine. I have made a few friends, Luke, Jackson and Macy. Me and Lucas are still going well as strong as a long distance relationship can be. Today is November 28th and its a Saturday. The weather is getting alot colder lately. I had plans with my friends to go shopping but things might change because of the weather.

I wake up shivering cold and go jump in the shower to warm up. I put on my long sleeve wintery dress with a pair if black stockings and brown boots. I check my phone and its already 10:30. I look at the text from Luke saying he will pick me up at 11. Even though he doesn't have his full liscence yet no cops have pulled him up for breaking the laws. He looks old enough anyway.

Dad and Rachel are still in bed so i go make myself and Cass a coffee. Ryley hates coffee. How are we even related!!?? I sit with Cass on the couch drinking my soul-warming beverage. We don't talk much just greet eachother good morning then she goes back to reading her book.

I sit and think if Luke and Lucas. I hate saying Lukes name. It brings up my confusing emotions about the two boys and it brings up memories of Lucas which leads to memories or mum. Its been nearly a month since mum died. And I got to say considering i used to have depression and anxiety i have been coping well. I get the odd moment when i dwell on the past for too long and start crying but im doing ok.

"Where are we going?" i ask Luke once we have picked up the others.
"You shall have to wait and see madamn," he says in a mock posh accent. I stifle a laugh and turn the radio up. We all sing along.

'You got the James Dean, day dream look in your eye. And I got that red lip classic thing that you like,'

I zip my puffa jacket up and pull my scarf tighter and we get out of the car.
"An ice skating rink!" i exclaim. I have never been ice skating before so this should be interesting.

Jackson and Macy are like pros! They link arms playfully and skate around like Olympian figure skaters. Me on the other hand... even with the support of Luke i struggle. Im slipping and sliding in all directions; i grasp Lukes arm so hard he gets nail mark on his skin. He didnt seem to mind too much, he just laughed non stop and my inability to stand up right for longer than 3 seconds. After a while i kind of get the hang of it and am able to skate fairly well without support.

"Bend your legs more." Luke instructs.
"Im trying geez im trying" i bite my lip in concentration. Slowly i bend my knees as Luke told me too and skate a little more steadily.
"Now try go faster." I successfully quicken my speed and keep up with Luke.
"Hellz yeah bitches im skating!!" i yell. I see a woman and child look at me disapprovingly.
"Oops sorry guys." i apoligise. Luke starts laughing histercally.
"Now try turn" Luke does a controlled turn with both feet on the ground. I slow down a bit as i attempt the turn but come toppling down, also bringing like down with me.

We are both laughing like idiots sprawled out on the floor. I manage to get up using the side railing. I was just about to help Luke up when an annoying blonde cuts in.
"Luke! let me help you up!" ugh Erin. The chemistry partner. Luke looks at me awkwardly as Erin links arms with him and starts skating off.
"Fine then bitch" i mutter under my breath.
"Ha! come on Jess. Just skate with us." I laugh and go join Jackson and Macy. Now i have the hang of skating i dont look quite so much like new born Bambi next to those two.

I look over at Luke and Erin and its obvious shes giving him an exclusive of her Flirt Fest. I roll my eyes. Why should it even bother me i have a boyfriend and i love my boyfriend. Dont i? Luke comes skating back to us with an undenialable grin on his face. Damnit did she win him over.
"Ha! shes trying so hard i almost feel sorry for her. Like she could ever win me over!" Luke laughs. Phew.
"Lets go get something to eat aye?" Jackson suggests. We all agree and pile into Lukes car again.

We drive through Carl's Jr and eat our sloppy burgers in silence. I never went to the Carl's Jr in Rotorua. I wish i had so i could tell them Carl's Jr is disgusting lets eat McDonalds instead.
"Hey i have something else planned!" Luke announces, breaking the silence.
"Its a surprise though." the three of us groan in frustration. Why does everything with Luke need to be a surprise??

After just over an hour of driving we finally park outside a little house in the middle if no where. Its like a cottage and the section is big with an over grown garden and long grass.
"Its my families cottage. We haven't been here in a while obviously." Luke says gesturing to the untamed plants. We all head inside the cute little cottage. Its very cold and dark so we make the place look more homely and warm it up by lighting a fire in the fireplace.

Obviously i bought my phone and my laptop. I turn on my laptop to load the good photos i took if today onto my hard drive. Straight away i get a Skype call from Lucas.
"Its Lucas guys. Wanna meet him?" i say to the others who are trying to get warm by the fire. They all agree and huddle around my laptop when i press 'answer'.

"Hey babe! wow whos the new friends?" Lucas asks. In the reflection of my screen i see Luke purse his lips together and his eyes narrow when Lucas calls me babe.
"This is Jackson, Macy and Luke" i say pointing to each of them. We talk to him about what we have done today and about school. Each of my friends tell Lucas a bit about them selves. The others go outside and play in the light snow for a but while i talk to Lucas in silence.
"Luke..." is all he says.
"Uhh what about him?" i ask.
"This is gonna sound cheesy, but i see the way he looks at you."
"Dont be ridiculous"
"No Jess im not. Im serious"
"Trust me ok. As long as we are together i will never do anything with another guy."
"Its not you i dont trust."
"Oh come Lucas. If you got to know him hes a good person."
"Hmmm i trust you"
"I should go sorry. We can talk later on the phone."
"Sure cya"
He hangs up. Not even a 'bye babe' or 'love you' just cya. Hes annoyed definitly. I shake it off and go join the others outside.

I have never had a snow ball fight.
