Natasha Romanoff and Evelyn Parrish were best friends, Clint Barton as well. It all started when Clint and Evelyn were assigned to take out the Black Widow, but decided upon sparing her after Evelyn saw part of herself in her; someone who had been tortured and forced to kill.

"I bet ten bucks that Coulson has already asked him to sign his trading cards," Natasha said as she held her hand out.

"That's an easy bet," Evelyn noted but shook her hand anyway. "But I'll take it."

The Quinjet carrying either Bruce Banner or Steve Rogers finally landed, so Evelyn began to walk over towards the back of the jet. Steve Rogers and Phil Coulson exited the back of it, and a large smile immediately appeared on Evelyn's face. "Hey, Steve," Evelyn smiled as she approached them.

"Hi, Evelyn," he smiled back.

"Agent Romanoff, Captain Rogers," Phil introduced Natasha as she appeared behind Evelyn.

"Ma'am," Steve nodded.

"Hi," Natasha gave him a stiff nod. She turned to Phil. "They need you in the bridge. They're starting the face-trace." Phil nodded and walked off.

"It was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice," Natasha told Steve as they began to walk across the Helicarrier to Bruce Banner's jet. "I thought Coulson was going to swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?"

"Trading cards?" Steve asked, puzzled.

"They came out after the war. He's very proud of them," Evelyn told Steve as she held her hand out towards Natasha, who unwillingly dropped a ten-dollar note into her hand. Steve watched the exchange with a frown.

As they approached a Quinjet, Bruce Banner walked out of the back, looking anxious as he ringed his hands. "Bruce!" Evelyn called out.

Bruce looked up, quite startled, but when he saw it was Evelyn, he relaxed drastically, and a smile spread across his face. "Evelyn, how are you?" He asked.

"I'm doing well! How are you?"

"Yeah, okay."

"Doctor Banner," Steve approached Bruce and shook his hand.

"Oh, yeah. Hi. They told me you'd be coming," Bruce said.

"Word is it you can find the cube," Steve said.

Bruce looked around nervously, "Is that the only word on me?"

"Only word I care about."

Bruce looked around, and Evelyn stepped forward to be beside Steve. "How're you doing with everything?" she asked, gesturing to the whole Helicarrier.
