Charlie swan

My name is Charlie swan. I am Bella's father. Bella is living with her mom in Florida. It gets kind of lonely here. I am not a good cook or anything and its hard sometimes living alone.

I called my ex-wife to have Bella come for the summer. Bella declined. I hung up the phone and decided instead of feeling bad for myself ill go hang put with my friend, billy.

Billy is Jacobs father. I hang out with him once in a while. Jacob is a nice boy. He has too long of hair though and to me looks very little like billy.

I drove my old red pickup truck to Billy's house. Jacob was there fixing some kind of part. He is always fixing mechanical things.

"Hey, Mr. Swan!" Jacob exclaimed.

I waved. "Hey, Jacob. Is your dad inside?"

"Sure," he said running inside to get his dad.

I walked in with him and saw billy watching a football gave eating chips. He was sitting in his wheelchair. I've never asked him what happened he says he got into some accident. He hasn't clarified what the accident was.

"Hey Charlie!" Billy said.

"How are you billy?"

"I'm fine thanks. How are things with you?"

"Bella didn't want to come over to see me this summer."

"That's too bad. Here come sit and watch the game with me"

I thanked him and sat down.

He gave me a burger to eat with some chips and a soda.

"How are things over at the station?"

"There is many calls of strange wolf like bears. They say they are enormous. All the men we have sent haven't come back. It's a big danger to everyone. We are trying to get control of them."

Billy hesitates, "that's strange." Is his reply.

I nod. We sit and watch the game without speaking for the rest if the night. I thank him for letting me spend time with him.

"Good night," I say at the door.

"Good luck with stuff at the station! Good night."

I walk out feeling like I am going back to my lonesome house with all empty dark rooms. I wish Bella would come see me. I wish things would have been ok. I wish everything was going to be alright.

Sorry it's so short but I wanted to write this little introduction first to start off the book.
