Chapter 6: The end of our clans

SorrelFeather's POV

A day had passed since the gathering, it was pretty normal but RowanNose had kept tormenting me over my kitty pet roots and I just ignored it. I was too excited, today was the day.
I was out in the forest hunting for the last time. The wind around my face and under my collar felt amazing as I chased a defenceless rabbit before delivering a final blow with ease. Suddenly I was knocked off my feet by RowanNose. His eyes weren't cold, they were worried.
"LongKit heard me tormenting you and told me you were leaving. I'm sorry... That's probably why you didn't want to be my mate. I feel terrible and I know I'm a terrible person. I can't stop you but I can spend this final day with you. I ask you again... please be my mate if only for a day!" He spoke quickly. I nodded slowly.
"Of course RowanNose!" I said simply before walking back to the camp with him. I saw SpiderHill looking on in anger. I smirked at him. SorrelFeather: 1 Foxheart: 0.

LongKit's POV

I didn't mean to tell RowanNose that SorrelFeather and I had to leave but it seemed to help. He stopped being a meanie to her and their friends now. It was sunhigh and I ate my fill of fresh kill with my siblings, played for hours and cuddled my mother. I'll miss them, but this was what StarClan said, and my mother did say that StarClan was more important. The thought made me puff out my chest. I am going to be a warrior of WolfClan, the best clan ever!! Sun set would be soon, SorrelFeather said that's when we will leave. I'm excited, I wonder if SorrelFeather will let me ride on her back!

MistyHeart's POV

I was pacing the medicine cat den even after my brothers attempts.
"This is it FogJay!" I whispered. "This is the last night I get to stay in RiverClan."
"It's hard... To say goodbye to my supply... MoonPool is bringing herbs so I have to leave it all behind." He replied stiffly.
"Do you only care about your supply mousebrain!" I asked.
"No of course not... I'll miss the wh-" FogJay stopped suddenly. "I know your there LittlePaw." The small apprentice stepped out into the small clearing.
"You listened to our conversation!" I yelped and LittlePaw flinched back.
"LittlePaw, we were chosen by StarClan to leave and create a new clan. Now run along." He turned away from the tiny apprentice and she left tail dropping. "Oh but... But tell YarrowTail I'm sorry. Your gonna be a great apprentice."
I kept pacing after that. It was almost time. I was guessing we were meeting at the island. Seeing that's where the dream took place.
"Hey FogJay..." I murmured.
"Yes MistyHeart." He replied.
"I'm scared..." I whispered. FogJay turned to me. Sorrow in his sightless eyes. It was a great change compared to his usual glare.
"I am too MistyHeart... But we'll stick together right?" He sounded worried for once. I laid my head on his shoulder but he soon nudged me off.
"It's time." He mewed determinedly.

FogJay's POV

I had only been out of the clan for a few minutes, but it felt like moons! I told YarrowTail I was going to find herbs and MistyHeart had the excuse of hunting. We were meant to meet by the log to the island but she wasn't here yet. What if she was caught. I lay down on the still warm grass and waited, eyes shut. But it didn't make a difference. I heard the cat approaching. I stood up hissing at the new cat, until a recognised MistyHeart's scent. I greeted her and she helped me across the log to the island. No one was here... Yet. This was gonna give me the chance to dream and maybe meet StarClan.

TabbyClaw's POV

We were halfway through ShadowClan territory, near to the place we had seen the RiverClan thieves. MidnightPaw was quivering with fear and excitement.
"You ready to leap into the unknown?" I asked.
"I've been ready all my life." She nodded back as we crossed the territory. Being in RiverClan territory was weird, seeing we had only been here for a gathering yesterday. It felt wrong. But fortunately, we didn't need to care about the consequences because we were leaving. I was happy, yet terrified. MidnightPaw leaped beside me, chattering about her catches of prey today. I wasn't really listening until.
"TabbyClaw! Are you even listening I said were here you mousebrain!!" She was snapping.
"Can it apprentice!" I hissed back and began to cross the bridge to the island. MidnightPaw was behind me, easily keeping balance. While I had just about the balance of a sheep! After we got across we saw 4 cats already there. Due to the smell I guessed WindClan and RiverClan, though clans wouldn't matter soon. I looked at my new WindClan clan mates. The former kitty pet, I think it was SorrelFeather and... A kit!!?? I decided to turn my attention to the RiverClan cats. The blind cat, FogJay and... It had to be her didn't it...
