StormFox's POV

I scented a small bodied creature in the brambles ahead of me. It was a mouse chewing on half a hazelnut. An easy catch. I crept toward the mouse, making sure I was light on my feet and downwind. I unsheathed my claws and pounced. The mouse went limp in my jaws and I carried it back to where I buried my other prey. It was an extremely warm new leaf day and blots of sunshine filtered through the trees above me. It camouflaged my bright ginger and white pelt. For once.
I picked up my two voles and my mouse and headed back to camp where I dumped them in the fresh kill pile.
"Hey StormFox!" It was FallenHeart, the young she-cat who had been tagging along with me ever since she became a warrior. "Wanna go hunting?" Her eyes glinted.
"I actually just came back from a hunting trip." I saw her eyes dull and I quickly said. "But I saved you a vole."
"We can share it." Her eyes lighted up again as she scooped it out of the fresh kill pile. "Still warm too." She commented as she dug in.
"This is a great catch." She murmured after swallowing, "your a really good hunter. Any she-cat would be lucky to have you as a mate!"  Oh no, does she expect me to say something about her. Think StormFox think. Oh I'm really terrible at this.
"And it's as if the toms are queuing up for you FallenHeart! Hasn't ToadLeap taken a huge interest in you recently?" I sniggered and playfully nudged her. She laughed.
"However I already have my eyes on some other lucky tom." Her Amber eyes met mine.
"And who's that then?"
"None of your business." She laughed and finished the vole and stalked away.
"She-cats..." I murmured, "always playing hard to get..."
I decided to go back out into the forest, it was nearly moonrise but however the forest was still warm and breezy. I climbed a near by tree quickly and quietly. It was good to get away from the noise of the clan but my paws itched for excitement. There was a patch of moss below me and an idea sprung my mind. I can easily jump into that! Adrenalin pulsed threw me as I let my was slip off the branch but my heart soon missed a beat when I saw that this wasn't moss. It was actually far far from it. It was a bramble thicket. How could I not see that I thought as my body was thrust into a spiky pile of pain.

MoonPool's POV

Being a medicine cat apprentice is better than in my dreams. I had only today got my full name and was excited and anxious for someone to come in for me to help. YarrowTail; a bracken coloured medicine cat and my mentor had gone out to collect herbs leaving me in charge. I bubbled with pride to think that he trusted me that much. However this isn't the first time. I heard the entrance of the den rustle and turned to see a very prickly StormFox.
"What have you done today mousebrain!" I called from the herb store, already getting the right herbs to soothe him.
"Would you believe me if I said I thought it was moss?" He joked.
"Yes probably seeing it's you." I laughed, "but what actually happened?"
"I fell into a thicket thinking it was moss. I was telling the truth." He murmured.
"Do you want me to check your eyes as well? Something could be wrong there." I asked, pulling a needle out of his tail with my teeth and rubbing a little pulp on it.
"Good idea." He replied and yelped as I pulled the second one out of his paw. He tried to be braver with the rest but I could see he was shaking.
"Even brave warriors feel pain."  I whispered jokingly pulling out the last needle and rubbed his pulp soaked pelt with another bit of pulp. "But now your a walking piece of pulp." I commented and he chuckled.
"Thanks MoonPaw." He breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's MoonPool now and let me check your eyes." I looked at his eyes for a bit, they looked tired and dull. "When was the last time you slept properly?"
"I was woken early and couldn't go back to sleep cause of the heat." He confessed.
"Then sleep now. And don't let anyone make you go on a patrol. Medicine cats orders!" I nudged him getting a bit of pulp on me. "Goodnight." I called as he left. He flicked his tail to show he heard me and went straight to his nest and fell over into sleep.
"I think it's time for my apprentice to get some rest too." YarrowTail was by the entrance of the hollow. "Good job today MoonPool." He stored his herbs he collected in the storage and pushed me over to my nest.
"Okay okay. I'm going see!" I lied down in my nest and closed my eyes.

StormFox's POV

I was happy MoonPaw- I mean MoonPool had suggested I have to
sleep. I fell straight into a deep sleep despite my wet, pulpy, fur.
I opened my eyes to find myself myself on the gathering island. I was dreaming. There was 7 other cats in the clearing but I could only make out one of them. MoonPool. I ran up to her, she was talking to the former leader of ThunderClan. BriarStar died when I was a kit and when my father, BrackenStar was only the deputy.
"So, you came." BriarStar was talking to me. "You two have been chosen to leave your clan and create WolfClan. Two cats from each clan have been chosen." She signalled to the other shadowy cats talking to their former leaders.
My first thought was, what about FallenHeart.
"Can we bring others?" I asked desperately.
"Maybe.." BriarStar replied.
"That's not even an answe-" but she already fading. Or we were waking up.
