Darling, there are things you may not know,
Like how I am lost wandering the evergreens,
And dancing in the sunny glades,
Every time I gaze into your green, green eyes.
Like how the wind whispers around me, to me,
Calling out my name with a surety
It will lift me into freedom,
Whenever your sweet, sweet voice graces my ears.
And how every time I'm so sure I can breathe
My heart stutters, falters in your arms,
Begging, crying to match the rhythm of yours,
And surely, without a doubt, I forget to function.
I have long sought for my home,
Driven by that want, that longing—
A nostalgia for a home I had never met,
Nor seen; a yearning for an unknown.
And yet, wrapped in your embrace,
Lulling on the soft caresses of your words,
And drowning in your heated gaze,
I have found home.
