Emily's POV

After getting off the plane from New York, I breathe in the Kentucky air. Carefully pulling the blanket over the baby carrier, I follow Jen and Josh to the waiting car. Opening the side door in the middle row, I strap in the baby carrier into the middle-middle seat. I slide the seat open for Jen to sneak into the back after helping Taylor into the car. Josh gets in the front while we all buckle up.

"Alright, everyone good to go?" the guy in the driver's seat asks.

"Yup, all good," Josh answers for us.

"Hey, Jen? Who's driving us?" I ask.

"Oh, sorry. Emily this is Connor. Connor's my brother," Josh introduces me.

"Nice to meet you all, I'll be your driver for today, we are going to Jen's house today, right?" Connor says making a right out of the parking lot.

"Yeah, I think so," Josh answered him.

"How are you, Connor?" Jen says loudly so he could hear.

"Good, how are you guys?" He asks.

"Busy, but doing well," she answers.

We make it to Jen's and pile out of the car. Josh decides to head home for the night while the rest of us unpack and settle into our rooms. The house is amazing. It's four bedrooms, three baths with an amazing backyard. There is a pool and a trampoline in the backyard.

Jen's POV

"Hello?" I say sleepily into the phone.

"Hey, Jen, when do you want us to come over?" Mom asks I glance at the clock reading nine am. Doesn't she know that we don't ever get up early?

"What?" I say I don't remember planning anything.

"You said we were getting together tonight, right?" Mom asks again.

"Oh yeah, um how about one?" I say counting how many hours I have to get ready.

"Yeah, I'll be there, love you," mom says before hanging up.

"Love you bye," I say hanging up. I get out of bed and head down the hall to Taylor's room. She's surprisingly up and looks mostly awake.

"Hey, good morning baby," I say as she looks over at me.

"Hi, mommy," she says crawling out of bed.

"Hey, let's go see if Emily is awake," I say wiping the loose hair out of her face.

"Okay," she says taking my hand and dragging me down the hall. I know that Emily hasn't had a good night of sleep in a while because of Faith and nightmare. I read online that traumatized children tend to have them.

I carefully crack open her door seeing her asleep. Meaning she got up last night or stayed up really late. "Mommy, she's asleep," Taylor informs me.

"Yeah, let's leave her be," I say shutting the door again. I walk further down the hall to Faith's room while Taylor heads downstairs to watch some morning cartoons. It was simply decorated with turquoise walls and a white accent wall to match the white furniture. I open the door carefully to see Faith awake and by the looks of it on the verge of tears. I hurry into the room and pick her up.

"Good morning, Faithy. Did you sleep well?" I ask carrying her to the changing table. She babbles and tries her best to speak. I quickly change her diaper and take off the sleeper before carrying her downstairs.

"Good morning," Josh says surprising me in the kitchen.

"Good lord, Josh. How did you get in here?" I ask in shock.
