I look out my plane window. While Roses blasts through my headphones, I stare at the little Georgia town. It's not what I'm used too, with all the apartments and tall buildings of NYC. The pilot starts speaking over the speakers.
"This is your captain speaking, we will be landing in a few minutes, so please stow your bags and put away all devices. Thank you for flying Southwest, and welcome to Athens, Georgia."
After we land, I grab my carry-on and start to head of off the plane. The flight attendant lets me off first since I was flying alone and I'm only 16. I see my aunt Patricia and my cousin,Teresa, at the gate.
"Hey there Wendy!!! How are you?" Aunt Patricia says. Teresa looks at me like I'm a dead fish.
"Let's get you home"
And with that she whisks me to the baggage claim.
