Dinner in Athens

Groan. I'll have to be with Teresa for at LEAST an hour. This sucks. And I'll have to "be friendly" because my mom thinks Teresa's a perfect angel, so if I'm not, she'll have my head. Every day for the past month has been the same. I assumed that they had not been out because the knew I was staying here because I had to and didn't want to be rude. I guess they finally got sick of McDonald's and cooking. Once we get home, Aunt Pat says that we're going to the water park since it's the hottest day of the year. Sounds fun, but busy. I LOVE the water and slides and swimming and stuff, but the hottest day of the year + water park= TWO HOUR WAITS. But, I don't know, maybe I should trust them. I put on a pink bathing suit and put on some water proof makeup (don't really want to look like a raccoon). Normally, on a day like this, I would go to the pool for the people in my apartment building. We get in the car, but I'm still very skeptical of this, and I think Aunt Pat can tell. We get there in a little bit, and I look over at Aunt Pat. She walks in and a few employees start to call her. "Hey Patricia!" They shout. 
  "Hey guys! I have someone I'd like you to meet" she gestured to me. "This is my niece, Wendy"
  "Oh, hey Wendy! It must be nice to have your uncle own a water park!" My jaw drops. Aunt pat smiles. "Uncle John OWNS this water park???" She nods while smirking.
"Yeah, these guys come all the time, and get in for free with a private cabana and a fast pass. Teresa also comes with her friends and gets in for free with a fast pass."
"That's awesome! We never go to the water park in New York" we go in and I see that this water park is very cool. There are twisty slides and steep slides and all sorts. "Wow, this looks great!" I say.
"It is, one of there slides was featured on one of those shows," Aunt Pat replies.
"Wow, that's cool," I say genuinely.
We go on every ride in the park in only 3 hours. Teresa actually wasn't bad. She kind of just ignored me, which I'm ok with. We head back home. It's already 5, so we all shower and get dressed and ready for dinner. My uncle left early from the water park, so we all are going to dinner together. I get dressed and blow dry my hair. Once I'm all ready, I go downstairs and sit on the couch to wait for everyone. We all get ready and head to dinner. "So, we're going to a DELICIOUS restaurant. It's called Backdoor Grill, and they have the best burgers." We pull into the parking lot. It's a small place, but it looks pretty good. We walk in and sit down immediately outside. It's a nice evening, with great weather. I look at the menu, and the burgers look awesome. We start talking. "So, how is New York?" My uncle asks. Teresa rolls her eyes. I give her a look.
"Oh, it's good," I reply.
"Good, how's your mom doing?"
"She's having fun on her cruise"
"Nice"
Teresa looks disgusted, as if New York was some gangster infested place. I look at her and mouth "is there a problem?" and she looks back and mouths "you". We leer at each other, furious. I just want to get the food and go. Once my food comes I wolf it down and so we can leave. I'm really mad at Teresa.

FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT. Maybe later. Anyways I made a longer chapter than normal cause I felt like it. I hope your enjoying my book!! I'll try to update more often. Here's a shoutout to my friends some of them have books so go read!!
