That's the dress⬆️
I examine myself in the mirror. My strapless black dress looks nice. I guess. I have no clue (which is why Abby brought one of her friends who loves beauty)
"Hey Sam, do you like that one?" Abby asks.
"Yeah it's nice and simple. The gem belt gives it a flair and the black contrasts well with your hair. Do you like it?"
"Yeah. Its pretty," I say lamely.
"We better go, the party starts soon. I gotta pick up Layne too." Sam says.
"Alright, let's party!!" I say as we get in her car. We listen to LOTS of music on the way. Sam's friend, Layne, is super nice and funny. We all sing (screech) Work from Home. I'm actually disappointed when we get there. This is one of the better parties (no drinking or drugs), so we go swimming in the pool. I put on a basic white swimsuit and hop in. I accidentally land on someone.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" I apologize.
"Don't worry I'm fine. Hey, you look nice." He says politely. Color flushes my cheeks.
"Thanks," I say, smiling.
"No problem. Hey, I'm Daniel btw," he says. "Do you go to Riverbank High? You don't look familiar." He says.
"Oh no, I'm visiting my Aunt and cousin for the summer," I say.
"Oh cool. I'll give you my number if you want to hangout sometime," he offers.
"Ok, sounds good. Maybe lunch or something?" I say.
"Sure"
I swim over to my friends. The make kissy faces at me.
"Oh, shut up," I say as I nudge them slightly. They laugh and we swim around for awhile. This is surprisingly fun. After we towel off, I get Daniel's number.
"Thanks," I say and get back in the car. They drop me of at my house, where I shower, change, and get comfy in bed. I'm starting to like this place.Heyyyyyyyy 2 chapters in a night.
