The next day, as promised, Harry went to pick up a blonde Teddy from Mrs. Tonks's house. He didn't dare Apperate with a little baby, so instead, he used Muggle-transportation to get to the village closest to the Weasley's house, then walked the rest of the way. It was twelve thirty when he finally walked through the door of the Burrow.
As soon as he set foot in the house, Ginny, Hermione, and Mrs. Weasley "Aww!"ed and squealed over Teddy. One by one, they all melted when they held him, silly grins all their faces.
Harry didn't think he'd ever understand how babies can do that to grown men and women.
"Harry, dear, you go have fun," Mrs. Weasley said. "Ron gets off for lunch soon and I'm sure you two have a lot to catch up on. We'll handle the baby."
Harry smiled and said, "Thank you. I need his help with something anyways."
The truth was, Harry had no idea what he was going to get Ginny for Christmas, and he was running out of time. Ron, being her brother, would surely be able to help him.
He gave Hermione and Mrs. Weasley hugs and Ginny a peck on the lips before leaving them with Teddy and Disapperating.
Diagon Alley was very different and new to him again, so instead of looking around and have the possibility of getting lost, he went straight to Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, which was thankfully still where it had always been.
Ron was just coming out of the shop when Harry walked up. "Hey," Ron said, a little suprised. "Is something wrong?"
"No, I just thought we'd grab a bite to eat. I need you're help with something," Harry said truthfully.
"Okay, let's go," Ron agreed.
Once they'd had lunch (during which Harry told Ron about how he needed a good gift for his sister), they walked around Diagon Alley, looking for something that Ginny would like.
"I got Hermione a book," Ron said as the passed Flourish and Blotts, "but that's just because it's Hermione."
"Does Ginny want any new Quidditch supplies?" Harry asked.
"No, she said she's done after this year."
Harry stopped walking. "Why? She could go so far with her amazing Quidditch skills."
"I know," Ron said with a shrudge. "She said it's not a 'suitable career'. She wants to be an Auror now, like you."
Harry started walking again, thinking. How could she throw away Quidditch when she was such a valuable player?
Then he realized he had done the same thing...and he was happy about it. He enjoyed being an Auror-in-training, and he somehow knew Ginny would feel the same way.
They passed the jewelry store when Harry saw it: the perfect gift for Ginny. Harry pulled Ron into the store to look at the description.
'This bracelet is elegantly simple. The pendant dangling from it is specially made to take the form of the wearer's Patronus, which will then run around on the wrist of said wearer. It is sure to catch anyone's eye.'
Harry picked it up and, at his touch, the pendant took the shape of a stag, then ran the perimeter of the bracelet multiple times. He quickly took it to the cashier, who sold it to him and even put it in a box and wrapped it for him. Harry thanked him and he and Ron left.
Ron chuckled as they left. "You must have it bad for my sister to spend that much money!" he said, clapping Harry on the back as they walked back towards Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes.
Harry smiled. There was no reason to deny it, so he said, "I do, and the price could have been worse, I suppose. It could have been like paying for a new wand."
