Oliver P.O.V.
I opened Val's door carefully. "Val?" I asked cautiously. I looked around her room, but she was nowhere in sight. The only thing off was her curtains. They blew in the wind from the window.

I checked the closet, thinking maybe she's hiding. Everything was in order, except my bag was missing. "Val, I'm sorry you had to watch that. Please come out. " I asked her.

My heart wrenched inside me. Pain overtook me. The pain faded slightly and I looked around. I noticed her dresser was open, and something glistened under it. I looked and saw at least half of my knives hidden.

"Dammit Val. " I muttered to myself.  Another wave of pain hit me, and I fell on my bed. Finally, I realized what was happening.

She's going after Dom.

Val P.O.V.
I ran through the darkness, knowing that if I stopped, the pain would control me. Finally, the forest started to thin. I slowed down to a walk and quietly walked to the edge.

I looked down and saw faint lights at the bottom. I was about to turn around when another wave of pain hit me. I fell to my knees in shock.

"Well, I would ask what are you doing out but I feel like that would be overusing the line. " A cold voice I recognized said from behind me.

Black spots danced across my eyes as I turned to see him. I was right. The spots took over and I collapsed from the pain. The last thing I saw was his evil smile.

Oliver P.O.V.
I ignored the flashes of pain and called for Elly to come to my house through the mind link. I walked down and met her in my living room.

"Yes Alpha Oliver?" She asked. "Where is Miles?" I asked through my gritted teeth. "He's at his house I believe. Are you alright?" She answered.

"I'm fine. Can you get him please." I told her. "Why do you want Miles?" She asked curiously. "Nothing of importance to you." I answered briskly.

"Is it because of Nico, or that girl you call your mate?" She asked angrily. "Get Miles." I growled. I turned to walk away, and I felt a pinch in my neck. The world spun around me and I fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry Oliver, but you and I are meant to be together. Why can't you see that?" She asked me in a detached voice. The light faded and I fell into the night.

Val P.O.V.
Flashback
My wrists ached from hanging for so long. My back burning from the lashes. The man took a step back as I breathed raggedly. "Now, tell me where your parents are." He growled.

I kept my lips sealed, refusing to give them what they want. He brought the whip down across my back. The crack resonated through the room.

"You have nothing left. Give in!!" He yelled at me. I finally allowed myself to speak. I laughed. All out, because I knew it would be my last.

"You want me to tell you where my parents are?" I asked. "Yes." He said, calming down. Probably thinking that I had given in to him.

"Six feet under. Just like you'll be soon."

Flashback over

I carefully opened my eyes. I was in some sort of cellar. Two people hung in front of me, both out cold. An evil voice rang out, singing hauntingly "One girl, one boy. The perfect price to pay. Living the life of luxury while I sit and wait. The sins of past have come to haunt you, and all they want is blood."

"Hello little girl. You're probably confused as to why I want you. Oliver and Nico took something from me. All I'm doing is collecting debt." He told me with a crooked smile.

The doors swung open and two men dragged a brown haired woman into the room. She was half awake, looking around drowsily.

They tied her to a chair then bowed and left. "Meet Miles' mate Alice. She's the reason all of this came together so well." The man told me.

I glared at him, knowing he would just keep talking. "Did you know that werewolves cannot live without their mate? It's true, mostly. They go insane, becoming the bloodthirsty creatures of the moon. After showing Miles proof that I had her and my terms, he was quick to turn on his friends. He's the one who brought Nico and Dom to me. After them well, I knew the pieces would fall into place. " He explained while walking around the room.

Rage bubbled inside me. Miles should have never had to decide between his friends and his mate. "You're a monster." The girl in front of me said quietly. I realized who's voice it was. Dom. "I know my dear. I know." He replied with an evil smile.

The doors opened again, and this time a man and a woman were dragging someone in. They got close enough for me to make out their faces. It was Elly and Miles.

"Is our deal still intact?" Elly asked the man. "Yes my darling, you may have him when I'm done." He replied. I looked at the man they were chaining to the wall.

"Oliver." I cried. "Yes, he's the reason you're here. He's also the reason you're going to die." He told me. "Alice? Miles?" Oliver asked quietly. He looked around and finally met my eyes.

"I'm so sorry Val. You shouldn't be here." Oliver told me, close to tears. "Ah, yes. She wouldn't have to be here if you had just paid the first time." He told Oliver.

"Please, you have me. Let her go!!" Oliver pleaded to him. "No. She's here now. She's part of this. Because of you, I lost my mate."

"Now you're going to lose yours."
