Well, I don't have anything to say.
"When something goes wrong in your life just yell
"PLOT TWIST!"
Then move on."The crows cawed at the eagle attacking their nest. The hawk swiped down, snatching fish from the ripple-less murky water.
Why do I know this?
Because I'm sitting, paralyzed by the fear of the creature that jumped out of the water and swallowed the hawk whole.
A branch cracked behind me. I whipped my head back and saw a man standing there, looking at the water. He was tall, with tanned skin and the muscled body of perhaps a swimmer. His messy black hair complimented his firm jaw and green eyes gorgeously. But, I have a mate. And he looked suspiciously familiar, I couldn't put my finger in it.
"Stupid Syrens." He grumbled, his voice rough with a thick French accent. I stayed silent, just incase he hadn't seen me. "Are you okay?" He asked me. Well, he definitely saw me.
I pushed myself to my feet. "I'm fine." I told him, walking into the forest. "Wait!" He said, jogging up to me.
"You're clearly a werewolf. And a high rank, I can tell that. But you aren't mated, which doesn't make any sense." He said, partially to himself.
"How do you know that?" I asked, turning to face him. "Your sent. It's different than a normal werewolf." He said, his tone slightly confused.
"A wolf of your status should kno- Wait, you're Oliver's mate aren't you. Of course! Everything makes so much more sense." He laughed.
"And who are you? And how do you know Oliver. " I growled. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Someone who's not technically supposed to be here. And he doesn't like me very much so just, put in a good word please." He answered.
"Why would I do that?" I asked. "Because you're a good person and your mate hates my guts." He said quickly.
"Show me how to get back to my pack and I'll tell Oliver that you helped me." I told him.
"Deal." He replied with relief. "It's this way." He said, walking into the forest. I followed him into the dark forest, past rocks and fallen trees for about an hour.
We exited the forest and walked around a building. Oliver was pacing back and forth while Evelyn looked like she was trying to reason with him.
"Oliver!" I yelled to him. He looked over in a flash. I could see his eyes were pitch black. His expression softened slightly, then he looked over at the guy beside me.
He started to growl and walk forwards menacingly. "Oliver, stop!" I shouted. He stopped, his eyes flickered to me, then back to the guy. I walked to him slowly. His breath was ragged, his eyes stayed glued to the guy.
I placed my hands on his cheeks and lightly pulled his head to face me. I leaned my forehead on his and rested my arms around his neck. He enveloped me in a bone-crushing hug.
"Ow." I mumbled once he let go. He smiled then looked back at the guy. "Why are you here?" He growled. "Tarvin wanted me to give you a message." He replied briskly.
"Why didn't you just send a messenger like always?" Oliver asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice. "He said no one else could know. That it's too important." He said, his voice strong and confident. But I could see it in his eyes. He was terrified. Whatever this Tarvin told him it must be dangerous.
Oliver's frown softened. "Follow me." He told him. He walked hastily into a large building, I saw Evelyn sprint into Oliver's house, Theo tailing her with a confused expression. She looked back, as if to check if anyone was following her. She had a grim expression, then she masked it with a fake smile and nodded to me.
I walked into the building Oliver and the guy entered, only to hear a deafening smash. I scampered down the stairs and peeked around the corner. Oliver was staring holes into a significant dent in a metal table.
"This isn't the first time this has happened. We were lucky last time. The humans weren't as intelligent. But now, we have to keep this contained. If word spreads from Europe then everything will be chaos, and no one can stop it this time." The guy said.
"I know. But why did you come to me?" Oliver asked. "Because you're the most powerful Alpha in North America. I need someone to know in case I can't stop this." He responded.
"You know how much I hate you." Oliver growled. "I know. But that doesn't change the fact that things are changing." He retorted. "Yet you're still an idiot. I guess that will never change." Oliver muttered.
I snickered at the guy's face. His glared at Oliver, but Oliver just smirked. Then Oliver looked over at me and shook his head. "Next time, if you're going to eavesdrop, don't laugh." He told me.
I rolled my eyes and watched as he walked over and we walked back up the stairs. I heard the guy follow behind us. We walked outside. Oliver looked back at the guy and glared. "I'm leaving. Don't kill me yet." He said while walking away from us.
We watched as he disappeared into the forest. "Who is he?" I asked. "Someone I don't like very much." Oliver replied, brushing me off. We walked over to Oliver's house and entered silently.
We walked up the stairs to the living room and turned the corner. Theo and Evelyn were laughing with a girl around my age. She had long, curly black hair and dark skin. She turned her head and a happy expression spread across her face. Her dark blue eyes sparkled. I looked at Oliver. He was staring at her, a confused expression plain as day.
"Rocky?"
"When you get angry,
Start counting to 10.
Then throw a punch at 8.
No one expects that."
I love this!
But here's a more serious one:)
"We can hide things away.
Shove them into the darkest corner,
But we can never forget."
You guys probably hate me by now for ending everything on cliffhanger's but hang on:)
