Thanks for the vote DeeRobbinsTuttle:) Thank you Cheer3057 for following me, and thanks Jjjjoookkkeerrr for adding my book to your reading list. Well, this is a short note. And I'm done.
"Nobody can go back and make a new beginning,
But anyone can start now,
And make a new ending."
I feel like this quote fits this chapter nicely.

Val P.O.V.
I smiled hugely at him, and only then did I realize that tears were dripping down my face. I stared into his eyes, which were a strange combination. His once chocolate brown eyes were swirling with black, similar to when he's angry.

"Are you okay?" I asked quietly. He pressed his face to my neck, snuggling closer. "No." He mumbled. "Then what's your problem?" I asked.

He pulled away and looked directly at me. "I don't want to lose you." He said, a hint of fear in his voice. "I'm not leaving. I promise." I told him.

"What abo-" "No. That's doesn't matter. You've said your part and now I'm saying mine." I told him with a small smile.

"You brought me back from the brink. Every time I lost myself, you dragged me back. Craziness and all, you've stuck with me. I was a dying rose in the cold, dark forest. But you saved me. I may never understand exactly why, but you did. And I'm not going anywhere. We have our second chance. Let's use it." I promised him.

The world around us was a dull, grey sphere. The rain poured down around us, but I was numb to everything but his touch. Part of me saw the grey skies and swaying branches, but everything revolved around us. Our little bubble of happiness, sadness, fear and love. But most of all, hope.

Hope for a better future for us, a chance to live together. Love till the end and back. Have a family. Create our own story. Together, to live a life meant for those more whole than us both.

Oliver smiled, sensing my thoughts then kissed me deeply. It was passionate, loving and freedom all together. The rest was a blur of grey and black.

Nico woke up. We all stayed silent, walking away from our fear and sorrows. Nico carried Dom behind us, and Oliver stayed close to me, refusing to leave my side.

Eventually, the forest opened to a clearing and we wandered towards Oliver's house. I don't think Nico trusted his own anymore.

We all carefully entered, so we wouldn't wake anyone yet. Nico took Dom to an empty room and I collapsed in the soft, heavenly bed in Oliver's room.

I was asleep in seconds, the fear and guilt no longer dragging me down.

I woke up early, my body aching. I dragged myself out of bed and away from Oliver. He mumbled something quietly... Then rolled off the bed.

He landed with a thunk, and groaned to himself. I just watched as he stumbled to his feet drowsily. "That was pathetic." I laughed.

He mumbled something then grabbed some clothes to change into. I grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom. I had a quick shower then walked out, changed into my clothes then exited the bathroom.
