A Time In Time

Chapter Three

Hey guys, this chapter is really long, it has 1007 words in this chapter so it might take a while to read.

"Hey Arnia!" Leia ran out of her dad's car with her bag in her arms.

"Hey Leia!,It's been a while!" I smiled as she ran at me, hugging me like I was a little puppy she loved.

"Too long if you ask me!" Her short blonde hair was straightened and she had dyed the ends a deep ocean blue colour.

We went upstairs and started watching Memories of Geisha.
We love movie's with adventure, or action and comedy not that it is a comedy or horror.

"Arnia! Leia!" My mum shouted from the bottom of the stairs."We're going now! If you're hungry you can make burgers!"

"Okay love you mum love you dad!" We got into our pj's, forgetting about the house.
We sat downstairs watching horror movies.

"Hey, what time is it?" Leia asked sitting up looking over into my phone.

"It's only 10:00 p.m."

"I'm gonna go brush my teeth." Leia stood up and grabbed the door handle when a bright light shined through the window across from us.

"What? I thought that your parents were gone?"

I stood up slowly, "They are."It looked exactly like the one from 4 years ago..

It is...

"Quick!" I whispered pointing at. The hall, " Get your coat and shoes!"

We ran into the hall whipped our shoes on and our coats.

"What are we doing?!" Leia questioned running up behind me as we ran towards the creepy house.

"No time to explain!" We got to the house and we ran in.

"Please, just tell me what we are doing here!" She grabbed my arm confused.

"I think it might be a portal."

She laughed and then put on a serious face."You're joking right?"

"No" I grabbed her hand and ran down the basement. "Now come on!"

We ran down into the basement. We stood in shock as we could barely make out a tall figure coming out of the light.
He darted towards us, with a bag of some sort.

We ran to the stairs when the person grabbed Leia by the leg and pulled her back down.

"ARNIA HELP!!" She screamed, holding on to the banisters.

I turned around quickly grabbing hold of her hand.

"I've got you!" I held on for my life.

The person holding her leg pulled us both down, heading for the light.

I was starting to lose my grip and I let go of her hand.

"NO!" I shouted, reaching out to grab her arms, but it was too late and she was pulled in without thinking I jumped into the light.

I woke up on the floor of the house.But something was different it looked like only the basement of the house was there.

When I gained all consciousness, I could see Leia being dragged up the wooden stairs by a big hairy man wearing wolf skin and looked like...

Oh god....
Our neighbour didn't kill his wife. The neanderthal looking people did.

I got up quietly, reaching for the knife in a pouch on the man's back. I pulled the knife out slowly.

"TAKE THIS BITCH!" He turned around quickly. I swung the knife at his chest stabbing him in the heart.

He fell to the ground. Bleeding on the steps.

I wiped the blood on his shoulder and woke Leia up.

"Where are we?" she groaned, sitting up.

I looked around "I don't know"

We heard shouting in the distance, and it wasn't English, it wasn't any language we heard before either.

"We have to go, they'll abduct us again and they'll probably kill us for what we did to their 'friend' over there."

We looked over at his dead body his eyes open, lifeless.

I helped Leia to her feet and we ran up the stairs. The rest of the house was gone and everything looked different, we seen a forest ahead.

"Quick" I whispered. We turned around to see 5 tall,bulky men running up the hill further back.

"Run!" We ran so fast into the forest, dodging every tree until we made it to a river about 6 metres below us.

"I can still hear them." Leia started shaking.

I took her hand and smiled at her.

"We have to jump." I said calmly.

"What?!" She looked behind her at the river below.

The people got closer, holding spears, pointing them at us.

We spun around quickly, jumping into the river below.

When I hit the water, it felt like knifes cutting into my skin.

I felt dizzy, like I was going to drown.

Stay awake Arnia
You can do it
Don't give up now

I swam to the surface looking up at where we jumped.

They didn't look over to see if we're dead,maybe they think we are.

Wait...
Where is Leia?..

I swam frantically in circles, panicking.

Is she dead?

Did she die?..
Is she dead?..

Eventually I spotted her pulling herself up onto the grass.
She looked like she was hurt.

I swam over to her getting out beside her.

"I think we misjudged the depth of the river." She lay down breathing heavily.

"Oh my god, your ankle!"

Her ankle was swollen and badly bruised.

"Let me look at it." I pulled her leg closer to me and took off my jacket and placed it under her ankle.

"This is going to to hurt"

"Oh no" She picked up a stick and bit into it ready for the pain.
She nodded.

"1,2,3-"

I felt around her ankle, looking for broken bones.

"Ah shit"

"What's wrong Arnia?!" She said, removing the stick from her mouth.

"You've broken it in three places,here, here and here."

"How am I going to walk?!"
"They'll find us if I can't walk!"

Everything went silent and we listened out for anything.

"I need to find some leaves and vines for your ankle."

"Okay, but I'm not moving, you're going to have to find it."

I laughed. "Okay, okay, but we need to move you where no one can see you first."
