A Time In Time

Chapter Seven

###Later that night###

We sat around a fire trying to stay warm. Listening to the sound of crickets and small nocturnal animals in the night.
The moon, full and big in the stary sky, glowing.

"So we time travelled?" Leia couldn't get over the fact that the house had taken us through time.
I don't even know why I'm so chill about it.

"Yes,that's what I just told you. You were sent though the light,a portal.And you ended up here." Laura looked back down at her bow,carving a bird into it with an arrow head.She was always really sassy and was never afraid to say stuff as it is,even if it meant hurting your feelings or making you look like a fool.

"You should rest,we'll set out for camp tomorrow." Lara handed me a blanket for Leia and I.

"Wait, what camp?" Leia asked

I butted in "They live about an hour from here in a small village of about 11 people or so, they can help your wound and teach us to survive in a place like this."

I looked around, and couldn't help but think about what my parents would do if they had come home to see we had disappeared, like the twins 4 years ago.

"They'll teach us to defend against the Darorcks, the weird people who tried to kill us."

Leia just shrugged her shoulders.
She doesn't want to be here.

"Get some sleep you'll need it"

###The Morning###

"Wake up!Come on!"

"Ughhhh..." I turned over to face the sun.

The sound of the trees blowing in the breeze started to wake me up more.

"I'm up." I yawned, sitting up straight. "What are we havin?" I asked.

"Badger..." Leia was already up staring at the meat in front of her.

I laughed at her expression then taking the badger leg off the cloth it was sitting on.

After eating we set out for their camp but stopped every so often for Leia to catch her breath and rest her leg.

"We can't keep slowing down,or the night will be here." Laura looked at Leia, frustrated with the fact that we were taking so long to get to the camp.

"I need to stop, Laura, it hurts to walk on and I can't move it." Everyone was slowly getting more annoyed.

Snap!

Everyone turned to look behind Leia.

"what was that?" I whispered.

The bushes below started to shake vigorously.

"Get down, I'll check it out." Laura looked at me. " And you're coming."

My eyes widened. Me? Why me what if it's the Darorcks? I only have a knife and they're like all 6'3!

"Okay" Stupid, stupid.

She gestured for me to follow her and we quietly made our way down to the bushes. We crawled through them looking for what made the noise or even who.

We eventually came to a halt as we had found that the long grass had disappeared up ahead and we would be out in the open if we were to walk out there.

Laura raised her bow holding it very steadily. "And white wolf."

I focused all my attention on trying to find it around me until I spotted it staring at me.
