A Time In Time

Chapter Four

I pulled Leia into a bush, making sure that she couldn't be found.

"If it gets bad put some water on it." I went down to the river and found a rock that was shaped like a bowl and put some water in it and gave it to Leia.

"Please don't die out there." Leia took the rock off me looking at it.

"I'll be fine, I'm grand at swimming"

"That you are."

"I've been rock climbing MANY times before, with and without a harness, I have great survivalist skills because I went camping with my dad for 8 days and we had to catch and gather our food, now can I go? because it's going to get dark in a few hours"

"Wait! How will you find your way back to me?"

"The sun, it rises in the west and sets in the east.So if I go the way the sun sets:East, I come back by going the opposite way the sun is setting: West."

She nodded and I started walking south by the river.

I walked up the way of the river trying to listen out for a car or people even.But everywhere I went was just trees and shrubs and grass and bush.

When I got to a waterfall I started climbing, going really steady but quickly aswell.I don't want anyone to find Leia and take her.

When I got to the top, I headed into another forest, lost in my thoughts.Thinking about the language those people were speaking and why they looked alot like apes.

I bent down quickly, hidden behind a tall tree stump.I peeped around the stump to see two people, two women, possibly twins,walking along in little fury dresses and boots with long tangled hair.They were also not speaking English but looked alot like people of modern day and not neanderthal like.

I followed the women through the forest when my foot got caught in what seemed like a animal trap, dropping a net on me.

"Ah crap.." I lay there for a minute until I realised I had the knife I took from earlier and started to cut through the rope.

By the time I was out, they had already walked too far ahead and I had lost them.

Now where will I find resources?

"Nack bah ney mos gar hun ney wenmej?!" A voice called.

I turned around slowly putting my hands up.It was the two girls I was following. Just one of them was holding a bow and her arrow was pointing right at my face.

"I don't know what you're saying, I'm not from here, I'm looking for for stuff to help my friend."

The girls looked at each other in shock and the girl with the bow lowered it.

"You're not from around here are you?" The girl with the bow asked.

"You speak English!?" I questioned.

The girl with the bow turned to the other girl. "Guess she's not from here."

"I need you to help my friend, she's hurt badly."

"Then you'll need to come with us"
