Chapter 28

My eyes fluttered open to come to see our dim lit room. My eyes were sore from crying so much. My skin was burning, my body was acing, and I was in pain. Jaxon's head was on my chest and his arm was draped around my waste, just below my damaged stomach.

I lifted his arm up throwing it off me carefully not to wake him as I slipped out from under him. My small feet paddled against the carpet to the bathroom. I shut the door quietly and turned the lights on. I rubbed my eyes till the adjusted to the bright bathroom light.

Standing in front of the mirror, my hair was in curly waves flowing down past my hips. I was still pretty small and skinny. My skin got some color and when I mean color I mean black bags under my eyes, a pale shading, puffy red eyes, and orange blue color spotting my wrists.

I had on one of Jaxon's V-neck black polo shirt that ended just above my knees. I shakily pulled the shirt up reveling black lacy underwear that found their way on me and lots of whip cuts. Around each scratch, it was red with little bruising. I looked down as I went to touch my raw skinned stomach. I pulled away immediately hissing in pain.

"I'm so vey sorry." I jumped back letting the shirt flow back down covering me at the sound of his voice. I looked at the ground as he made his way closer to me. I kept taking small steps back until my back collided with the wall.

He crotched in front of me lifting up the shirt. I whimpered as I went to stop him shaking my head 'no'.

"Stop it please baby girl. I just want to look at it. I gotta make sure it's not infected" he pleaded, but I could still feel the command in his voice. Whimpering again I let my hands fall to my sides as he lifted the shirt up, exposing my stomach.

He studied it with his eyes before he lifted his hand up to touch it but I still flinched back. He looked up at me with sorry and reject in his eyes.

'You need to leave' said a voice in my head.

'Who are you' I asked it.

'I am the moon goddess. You need to leave tonight my dear Bella' she told me. No way, it's the moon goddess, but how.

'Why do I need to leave?' But I got no answer back. Should I leave? Where would I go? How would I escape? I don't want to be hit again.

"Kitten. Kitten" Jaxon's voice pulled me away from my thoughts. I looked up at him to see his face was pale and he too had bags under his eyes. What took me by surprise was that his eyes were clouded with tears.

"I'm so so so so sorry. I just got so mad I couldn't handle my wolf. Please forgive me. Please". He began to cry as he begged me to forgive him. Should I forgive him?

I just nodded my head weakly. I watched as a smile spread across his face. He pulled me into a hug but careful not to touch my tummy.

"Thank you so much baby girl. I'm so sorry and I love you so much" he said. My heart melted a little bit at the mention of him saying he loved me.

'Leave Bella, tonight is your only chance to leave. You must leave, I'm ordering you to leave' she said to me.

Suddenly thought is escaping flooded my mind. I was pulled away from the world and I too my mind to find an escape route.

-----night time-----

I read the note one more last time before setting it on the bed.

             Dear Jaxon,
Im sorry I left, but I couldn't take it. You cheated on me,
You also beat me when you said you'd never hurt me.
Im not going to reject you, im just going to stay
Away from you. The moon goddess talked to me and
Said that I need to leave so I am well I did.
         I love you too. Please dont come looking for me,
I know you will, but you should know I left because
You beat me. I'll come back if you change and don't won't
Beat me. Also get rid of that room too. I love you a lot.

I set it on the bed and grabbed my bag and draping it over my shoulder. Grabbing the rope of sheets I tied, I started to climb down them. I kept my gaze towards the sky because I'm afraid of heights and I'm on the 11th floor.

Finally making it to the 9th floor where I was just below the meeting room where Jaxon was at having a meeting with all the alphas around the world. I ran to the elevator and pressed the button many times till it opened where I rushed in pressing the first floor button.

I waited impatiently as I went down to the first floor. When the doors opened I peeked my head out to make sure no one was around before running to the back door where I snuck out of many times. For some reason I'm brave, I'm actually doing this. But I'm scared to death. Like what if I get caught, what will happen to me?

Shutting the back door I began running well jogging. I kept taking turns running and walking. I keep checking the time on Jaxon's phone that I stole. I've been running/walking for a couple hours now. It's now 1:43am. I can't believe Jaxon is still in the meeting or else he would be looking for me.

After another two hours, I couldn't even move my body hurt. I'm so out of shape. I was running for like and hour because I heard Jaxon's deadly howl. He found out I had left I'm guessing. Stopping I looked around for a place to sleep at. Spotting a tree to climb I limped over to it and began climbing up it till I was half way up the damn tree.

I slumped down into the tree branches exhausted. Letting my eyes droop down I let sleep take over as I rested against the uncomfortable tree
