They came for me
again
today
they kept asking
if I wanted to come and
play

I told them
no
that I have someone to call
home
they wouldn't
go
In my thoughts
they love to
roam

But at break
when I say your
smiling face
honey dripping form your voice
I knew it wasn't a waste
....
I knew that I made the right
choice.

I decided after school,
to leave you a note
you wouldn't know it's me
needless to say
I put
pen
to
paper and
wrote

Burning with anticipation
I watched from a distance
you went to your locker
and-

He  came again
and held onto your waist
I showed no anger
yet couldn't hide my distaste

My note long gone,
I spun around,
and missed that moment when she
smiled again,
alone,
after reading the note
