Since Hayes left for tour over the summer a lot of things have changed and a lot of people have changed. When Hayes comes home will things ever go back to the way they were before, or will things keep on changing.(read the summer I'll never forget...
I started to walk home and then I felt a hand intertwine with mine so I held on. I could smell his cologne from a mile away and it smelled like Hollister.
"So tomorrow I'm gonna get my learners permit, Hayes said.
"That's cool".
"When I get my license I can drive anywhere I want".
"Yeah and you can drive me to the mall and to the movies".
"Huh?".
"Yeah".
"Please I'm driving myself to football practice".
"You know you can't drive me until you have your license for a year".
"That sucks cuz we can't make out in the back seat of my car".
"Stop".
"Or hook up".
"Dude I'm 15 chill
"Dude I'm 16 chill".
"Yeah we're not gonna be hooking up for like another 10 years".
"Or so you say".
"Yes and I say what I mean".
"Stop being so innocent, have some fun".
"I am not innocent".
"Or really?".
"Yes".
"Bells I like you but no you aren't".
"Wait before we go on, can I ask you something?".
"Why do you say you like me?".
"What do you mean?".
"You say you just like me".
"I know you don't love me in that way and I don't love you in that way but I will say that I'm falling for you".
"That's true".
"I don't want you to expect something and something else happens".
"Oh".
"Does that answer your question?".
"Yeah".
The wind was blowing so hard but it was like 50 degrees and we just walked home and took our time.
The wind blew my hair everywhere and it was all over the place.
Hayes saw me trying to move my hair out of the way and I just laughed trying to move it.
"I told you that I like your messy hair".
"But it's knotty".
"Comb it out later".
"Nooooo".
"Yeahhhh".
We finally got to my house and we decided to "study".
We sat on my couch when we walked in.
"Do you want something to drink?, I asked".
"Nah, but are you thirsty".
"Be quiet".
I took my shoes off and I sat on my couch and I started to do my math homework. He grabbed his math too and we worked on it separately.
While I was working Hayes kissed my neck softly.
"Stop".
"Why you know you like it".
"But you know what I don't like?".
"What".
"Hickey marks".
We both started to laugh.
Then all of a sudden he kissed me.
"I bet you didn't see that coming".
"I didn't but...."
I stood up and he stood up too
I jumped up and wrapped my legs around him and kissed him.
