Lawron comes into the room followed by Enobaria and the train slows to a holt in the station, I didn’t even realise Lawron had got on the train in the first place. I run to the window, taking in all the bright neon colours of the Capitol, and it’s people. I hear Cato join me at the window and he smiles at the sight, it’s the first time I’ve seen him smile since this morning in the woods. The woods, my heart yearns for it. Was it only just this morning that i was sleeping on Cato’s arm in the woods, happy as you can emotionally get? It seems like it was at least a year ago.

“Come on kids, it’s time to face the lights.” Lawron says, already checking his hair, his hand ushering us over to the door he stands next to with Enobaria to his right, not daring to look at us.  I can see Cato wants to talk to her about earlier but he never gets the chance as the door to the Capitol world grinds open and we’re hit by shrieks from brightly coloured aliens, a spectrum of all colours, some I never even knew existed.

“I think it’s best to keep your romance for later, give the audience a surprise that they won’t expect during the interviews or something. “ Brutus says coming up behind us seeing Cato reaching for my hand, he places his own hands on our shoulders and pushes us gently past the crowds of rainbow Capitol parrots, and into a large white building to our left.

As we enter the building no one talks, I look up to the ceiling, the ceiling seems like it’s not even there. Lawron takes the lead, swerving through miles of identical corridors when finally we reach a dead end with a big door split in half.  Lawron presses a button on the wall and the door opens automatically, revealing only a small gold room with a mirror on the back wall. We all pile in and Lawron presses another button named “2” that lights up in red as it selects, suddenly we’re flying upwards, I grip onto the hand rail tightly, cursing every time the room judders. After many seconds seeming like hours the room stops and a sound chimes, I fear the worst but the door opens and I am free, much to my relief.  Lawron then takes us into yet another room, this one is bigger than all the others.

“This is the apartment you will be staying in until the Games. Now say we meet at the dining table up there, in an hour. ” He points up to a glass platform with stairs fitted with lights in the bottom, where a large wooden dining table stands strong even under the weight of all the ornaments on top of it.  “Brutus and Enobaria, your room are as they usually are so make yourselves at home. Cato and Clove, would you like me to show you your rooms?”

“No thank you, I’d like to go exploring this place if that’s ok, I’m sure will find my room.” I reply.

“Well there are plenty of Avoxes around to help you.” And with that Lawron heads off down a corridor to the side and ours mentors follow him, each separating left and right into their assigned room.  Leaving Cato and I standing in the open plan room, an Avox waits in the corner, I look at Cato, Cato looks at me. We instantly follow the others down the corridor to find our rooms, but we don’t separate when we find the room, labelled Clove D2 Tribute, we both go into it. A large double bed with satin sheets takes pride of place in the middle of the room, I can’t resist it, I fling myself right into the middle, I hear Cato laugh behind me but I don’t care, I just look back at him mischievously.  He joins me on the bed, his hand rubbing my back slowly, I roll onto my back to look at him, his amused smile is infectious.  He pulls himself on top of me, his kisses starting at my lips and going down my neck, electricity shoots through me each time his soft lips meet with my skin. I can help but sigh with love for him, I remember I’m still supposed to be mad at him so I punch him on the arm firmly; he stops kissing me and laughs.

“Wow that’s a strong punch for a titch!” He chuckles and although I’m fighting to keep a serious look on my face, I can’t help but laugh with him. He leans in to kiss me again but I put my hand over his mouth, his brow creases in confusion.
