"You guys bored out of your mind without me?" Emmalie asked suddenly and we all jumped. Emmalie was awake. How did we not catch that? Especially me. I mean I'm the most atune to her heartbeat.

"Yes." My brother Finnen said and dramatically fainted. He got up and took her hand and let out a laugh gasp. I hated him at that moment, especially because I knew of his still there, feeling for her.

He looked at me and mouthed ' But she won't know and you won' tell her'. He threatened and I knew I couldn't he was black mailing me.

"Without you, my life was bleak. Without you, the sun does not shine and the willows weep. I cry when I cannot heart your voice I cry a thousand tears. Will you sing for me, my love, my lady." My brother said absolutely flirting and I hated it.

"Of course my white knight, o my partner in crime. What would you like me to sing?"

"What about me?" I project-grumbled under my breath but she heard me. She looked at me and smiled. God I love that smile.

Sometimes, while she's asleep I try to day dream. I mean I can't sleep but it's calming being with her when she's asleep.

"You are my dark angel, my evil little puppet."

"Is that a compliment?" With her there is no way to know.

"Yeah. Sure. Maybe? It could be?"

"Fine but only because I love you." And I loved her. That's why I forgive her innocence and foolishness.

"Fayette hit him. Hard." And she happily complied. I groaned and then went back to driving. At least Emmalie didn't hit me, she is a whole lot stronger.

"Emmie. You should sing Hey There Delilah."

"Okay crank up the tunes."

"Got it Ems."

"Here goes nothing," and she started her voice, though surprised me,

"Hey there Delilah

What's it like in New York City?

I'm a thousand miles away

But girl, tonight you look so pretty

Yes you do

Times Square can't shine as bright as you

I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah

Don't you worry about the distance

I'm right there if you get lonely

Give this song another listen

Close your eyes

Listen to my voice, it's my disguise

I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to me

What you do to me

Hey there Delilah

I know times are getting hard

But just believe me, girl

Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar

We'll have it good

We'll have the life we knew we would

My word is good," I was really getting into it at this time. And I knew I had a really far off look. Her voice it was like, like the world's sweetest lullaby.

It was like she was a, no she can't be. There is no way she's a -

"Hey there Delilah

I've got so much left to say

If every simple song I wrote to you

Would take your breath away

I'd write it all

Even more in love with me you'd fall

We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me

Oh it's what you do to

Oh it's what you

Oh........" and she trailed off. Or maybe I fell asleep. Ormaybe I just went into a trance.

Emmalie's POV

David's arms suddenly went limp and let go of the steering wheel. I gasped. We were soaring to the left of the road, right into the path of a large truck.

I had to think fast.

I was up and on David in, well a millionth of a second, and taking the wheel before we went too far off. I got us back on the road.

"Guys any of you awake?" I said shakily. I felt a bit high. Though it was starting to wear off.

I got no answer so I tried to jump up and down on David's lap. Though it didn't help. Not one bit.

"Please wake up!" I yelled and began to call them by name, "David! Fayette! Finnen! Anyone!" they didn't even bat an eye. Something was seriously wrong

But that wasn't the worst of our problems.

Someone or should a say someones were trying to hit us. We had one in front, one to the right one two behind. One of which was trying to get to my left. They were one of those groups.

You know what I mean. They try to get you to damage their cars so they may sue you. I mean this is a nice car thus they deduce we must have money and lots of it.

I had to do something. And so, on instinct only I did it. Let's just hope it was the right thing to do.
