Emmalie's POV

David's arms suddenly went limp and let go of the steering wheel. I gasped. We were soaring to the left of the road, right into the path of a large truck.

I had to think fast.

I was up and on David in, well a millionth of a second, and taking the wheel before we went too far off. I got us back on the road.

"Guys any of you awake?" I said shakily. I felt a bit high. Though it was starting to wear off.

I got no answer so I tried to jump up and down on David's lap. Though it didn't help. Not one bit.

"Please wake up!" I yelled and began to call them by name, "David! Fayette! Finnen! Anyone!" they didn't even bat an eye. Something was seriously wrong

But that wasn't the worst of our problems.

Someone or should a say someones were trying to hit us. We had one in front, one to the right one two behind. One of which was trying to get to my left. They were one of those groups.

You know what I mean. They try to get you to damage their cars so they may sue you. I mean this is a nice car thus they deduce we must have money and lots of it.

I had to do something. And so, on instinct only I did it. Let's just hope it was the right thing to do.

Recap over :0

I swerved. I just swerved on my gut instinct. I swerved and flew into the trees. And the other cars sped as fast as they could away. Probably hoping that they wouldn't be caught if we were found dead.

Luckily. We wouldn't.

Turns out there's a road around here. Who knew? Maybe forestyie recluses are so reclusy. If that's a word.Or maybe it's something else.

Maybe we are on our way.

I decided to just sing. Maybe they'd all wake up and be fine? Maybe not but one can hope. I played with the CD until I found the perfect song, even if it's not my favorite. It's called "Wake Up" and it's by Three Days Grace:

"I'm not sober all the time

You bring me down at least you try

Until we see this eye to eye

I don't want you

I must be running out of luck

Cause you're just not drunk enough to fuck

And now I've had it up to here

I don't, I don't want you

It took so long to see

You walked away from me

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I'm not the man I was before

Where the hell are you

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I won't hurt you anymore

Where the hell are you

When I need you" when I sang this I heard some groans and moans and stirring. I-I-I think it's working.

"I'm not angry all the time

You push me down at least you try

Until we see this eye to eye

I don't want you

It took so long to see

You walked away from me

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I'm not the man I was before

Where the hell are you

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I won't hurt you anymore

Where the hell are you

When I need you

It took so long to see

You walked away from me

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I'm not the man I was before

Where the hell are you

When I need you

Wake up I'm pounding on the door

I won't hurt you anymore

Where the hell are you

When I need you" The last part I sang softly and it had more, well meaning to me. And they all bolted awake. Yay, fun, fun, fun(this is my fav phrase!!!!), I have to explain to them what happened.

"Emmie what just happened?" Fayette asked ad I looked at her.

"I don't know one minute I'm singing the next everyone is asleep and I'm up here trying to save us all, and then I swerve into the trees trying to get away. I then found this road and I thought, well if singing put you to sleep maybe it could wake you up. And it did." I was really frustrating and if they said what I would strangle them. Every last one of them. Did I mention I'm frustrated?

"Emmie, you can't sing someone to sleep. Only..........on......oh no that is not possible." Fayette said backing as far away as she could. I didn't understand why she was so freaked out. I mean maybe my voice is soothing?

"What is it Fay?" Finn asked and then she screamed.

"What the hell is wrong Fayette!?!" I yelled and she went to a trance, only this one was not so peaceful. She was thrashing and moaning and screaming. It was one of the most horrific sights I have ever witnessed.

Suddenly though, she stopped and held on for dear life to david who thankfully was still driving through it all though he was worried.

"Guys, she's, she's a, she's a f-" and then the car stopped. I looked up surprised at the sight. It looked exactly like my home in New Jersey. Only bigger, much bigger.

I was suddenly out of the car. An unseen force pulling me towards the house. I tried to resist but I couldn't. Whatever it was, it was stronger. Stronger than me.

The house was even more beautiful on the inside. Though I really wasn't able to stop and admire. But I saw some rare painting, statues and few animals. I was suddenly running.

At vampire speed.

It took a minute but then again, this house, no mansion, is HUGE. So of course it took a minute. But the product was absolutely worth it.

I opened the door and stepped in. It was a study of some sort. There were cases of books and books so many. In the very back and dead in the middle was a chair. And it was occupied.

"Excuse me but this is my study and you didn't even knock." A soft but stern voice said.

"Dad?"
